Easy Tomato Meat Sauce Noodles (Better Than Takeout)

A simple bowl of noodles with rich tomato meat sauce.
Comforting, savory, and better than takeout.
Perfect for a cozy meal at home.

Ingredients
• 2 tomatoes
• 200 g dried noodles (about 7 oz)
• 120 g ground meat (about 4 oz)
• 5 cloves garlic
• A small handful of scallions

Sauce
• 2 tsp light soy sauce
• 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
• 1/2 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbsp ketchup
• 1/4 tsp white pepper
• 200 ml water (about 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp)



Instructions
1. Score a small “X” on the top of each tomato. Boil in hot water for 20 seconds, then remove and peel. Chop the tomatoes finely.
2. Cook the dried noodles for 5–6 minutes. Drain and toss with a little cooking oil to prevent sticking.
3. Heat corn oil over medium heat. Add the ground meat and stir-fry until lightly golden.
4. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
5. Add the chopped tomatoes. Sprinkle in 1/8 tsp salt and stir-fry until the tomatoes release their juices.
6. Pour in the sauce. Stir well and simmer until thickened.
7. Reduce to low heat. Add the cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated.
8. Sprinkle with chopped scallions.
9. Plate and serve.
