Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian territory have dampened the appetites of the Z-patriots. Even the most vocal supporters of the war have begun publicly calling for its end. A video message from a Russian Z-volunteer who helped supply the Russian occupation army was revealing. In his address, he still hesitated to call what was happening a war. The Z-volunteer called for an end to the "situation" that Russians no longer liked.
"Today I have an address for our President, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. And I would very much like it to reach the Presidential Administration so that Vladimir Vladimirovich hears it. This whole situation has been going on for five years. All this time, our team, we have been visiting all these territories of Donbas, the Zaporizhzhia region, helping our military with humanitarian aid. We have been to all the hot spots, to the very epicenters. But what I want to say is, in reality, everything that's happening now—these drones are already flying in cities, causing so much damage. So, it's all a bit stressful. People are suffering. And it's all causing us all some inconvenience, let's say. Vladimir Vladimirovich, maybe we should stop already? Take the first step?" volunteer Z said. He clarified that Russia allegedly “proved everything to everyone” in this war.
Another Z-war correspondent Igor Dimitriev writes that Ukraine's strikes on the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya are only the beginning of a more serious and large-scale campaign against Russian industry in the Russian capital. According to him, if Ukrainian drones are already easily penetrating Moscow's air defenses, then not only oil facilities but also defense facilities are under threat. Dimitriev notes that Moscow and the surrounding region are Russia's largest industrial region. Energy, rocket production, defense industry, and military-grade electronics and optics industries are concentrated there. He bluntly states that the question now is not whether the attacks will continue, but what will happen next. "In the south of the region, where drones fly into Kapotnya, there are oil depots along the highway, a gas processing plant, and the country's largest combined heat and power plant. In the same area, literally amid residential neighborhoods, is the main plant producing solid rocket fuel for ballistic and anti-aircraft missile systems. Apparently, the production facility hasn't been relocated anywhere. "An explosion there is a serious matter. In the south, there's a production facility for anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, and the country's only manufacturer of spacesuits and ejection seats for combat aircraft," he writes. Z-war correspondent also acknowledges that the attack on the Kapotnya oil refinery has a strong visible impact, but there are far more sensitive targets for Russia around Moscow. In May, he says, drones already flew to Korolev, Khimki, Lobnya, and Zelenograd, and also attacked an oil loading station in Solnechnogorsk. Dimitriev writes that Ukraine's intelligence capabilities have become much more sophisticated than before, and Moscow shouldn't dismiss these strikes as accidental. Russian military propagandists are no longer debating whether Ukraine can reach Moscow, but are instead discussing the consequences this will have for Russia's defense industry.
