The Center for Innovative Technologies Program unveiled the Ukrainian SIRENA naval drone , equipped with powerful electronic warfare systems and air defense missiles. A company representative told Militarny.
According to him, the marine drone is designed in a trimaran format—a vessel with three parallel hulls joined at the top. This design ensures increased stability, good seaworthiness, and high speed.
SIRENA is specifically designed for complex electronic warfare operations, particularly in restricted and contested maritime areas. The trimaran is capable of reaching speeds of up to 90 km/h and carrying up to 300 kilograms of payload.
The developers explained that the system's key feature is its integrated multi-band jamming system. It is expected to operate across a wide frequency range from 300 to 6000 MHz.
"This enables the platform to simultaneously jam enemy communications, GNSS navigation signals, and drone control channels. The effective electronic jamming range of enemy assets reaches 30 kilometers. To ensure high combat effectiveness, the trimaran is equipped with a Pelican V1 radar and a Scorpion V5 electronic warfare system. The Scorpion jams navigation systems, including the autopilot, and can also be used against Shahed-class submarines," the company representative explained. In addition to the suppression systems, as stated in the material, the ship is equipped with a SeaDRAGON launcher, capable of using AIM-9M Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.
SIRENA can perform missions in autonomous, semi-autonomous and remote modes without the need for line of sight to the command post, and can operate continuously for up to 24 hours, providing coastal protection and reconnaissance at a range of up to 800 kilometers.
Besides, Ukrainian marines are using an uncrewed surface platform known as “Barracuda” to deploy FPV strike drones and bomber drones against Russian positions in the Dnipro River delta. The platform allows operators to transport drones closer to Russian positions by water before launching them against designated targets. The brigade said the system has recently been used in a series of operations targeting Russian military infrastructure in the area. Strikes conducted from the platform hit observation posts, ammunition storage sites, and logistical facilities used by Russian forces. The Dnipro River delta and nearby island areas remain a contested zone where both Ukrainian and Russian forces rely heavily on drones for reconnaissance and strike missions. Waterborne uncrewed systems have increasingly been integrated into Ukrainian operations to support attacks in areas where movement by conventional vehicles or personnel is difficult. As reported, Ukraine has developed the DART rocket, designed for launch from balloons . One of its features is its resistance to enemy electronic warfare systems. The rocket was developed by the Ukrainian company Center of Innovative Technologies Program. It is launched from stratospheric balloons at altitudes of 12 to 18 kilometers.
Special servos ensure the missile's precise activation and trajectory stability across the entire range of launch conditions. The DART's overall length is 1.84 meters and its weight is 13 kg. Depending on the configuration, the missile's warhead weighs between 3.5 and 10 kg. The warhead also contains graphite fragments.
The missile is guided by a navigation system, but at an altitude of about 6 kilometers, navigation is completely switched off, after which the solid-fuel engine is activated, and it continues moving towards the target without changing course.
