Recently, drones from the SBU, SBS, SOF, and GUR, along with missile forces and artillery, visited the Moscow Oil Refinery. This is a fairly large refinery, which has undergone significant modernization over the past 10 years.

If this weren't Moscow, it would be worth delving into technical specifications, assessing the Russian capital's fuel market share, and so on. However, this is different.

Firstly, the visit came at an opportune moment: on the day the G7 summit began in France, following Russia's barbaric attack on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and other civilian targets in Ukraine. The contrast is extreme. One can speculate whether this is a response to the Russian attack or not, but simply a successful operation... But it doesn't matter. It's perceived as a successful response, showing who is fighting against whom/what and for what.

Secondly, this is the second visit to the Moscow Oil Refinery in a month. The previous one was on May 17th. There was no damage to the process then, but there is now. So, despite all the additional measures to strengthen air defenses around Moscow, Ukrainian drones are still infiltrating and posing a threat to the bad guys. What will happen when Ukrainian ballistics are finally improved?

Regarding fuel: even if the Moscow plant were completely destroyed, dear Muscovites would be the last to feel the impact. The Kremlin will throw all its efforts into ensuring the capital has enough fuel. And here's the catch. If Moscow starts hoarding fuel amid the rush in Russian regions due to the holiday season and harvesting, there will be more disruptions in the supply chain. We need to make it clear to our fellow Russians: Moscow has taken not only air defense systems, but also fuel. While you're standing in line for gasoline, send some good wishes to the warmongers and our fellow Muscovites. So, this wasn't a "hysterical attack," where all forces were thrown at the Russian capital for a short-term information effect. It was a perfectly reasonable night for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. A smaller, but still very positive, incident occurred in the village of Poltavskaya in Krasnodar Krai. Poltavskaya Oil Depot OJSC's storage tanks were damaged. This company serves as an intermediary between Lukoil and consumers, including through its network of PNB-branded gas stations. Poltavskaya Oil Depot operates a fleet of approximately 25 fuel tankers., the problem is not so much the physical lack of fuel in Russia as the lack of logistics. The loss of even small but well-functioning links in the established system will create problems for the Russian occupation forces, among others. Because maneuvering fuel is becoming increasingly difficult. So, both the refinery's decommissioning and the gradual decommissioning of oil storage facilities have the same effect: they provoke Russians to think and search for an answer to the question, "What's going on?" And most importantly, why?
