The Defense Forces of Ukraine have blocked logistics to temporarily occupied Crimea. This was stated by Andriy Tkachuk, a major in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on Radio NV .

"Significant problems are arising – for both the military and civilian contingents. Our key ability and success in blocking military logistics is key. It's amusing to watch the gasoline lines, how we're squeezing the maximum out of our strikes on refineries and adding logistics blockades," Tkachuk said.

He also responded to reports from the Atesh movement that the Russian Black Sea Fleet command is preparing to evacuate Crimea. He said this is unlikely to happen, as such actions would be a huge blow to the Kremlin's image. "They'll find a balance and figure out how to solve this problem. Unfortunately, such a move won't happen," Tkachuk predicts.

Commenting on the attacks on the occupiers' logistics, he noted that the Defense Forces are putting pressure not only on the so-called "Novorossiya" highway but also on other roads that are important logistical chains for the Russian Federation. According to the military man, such actions are already helping Ukrainian units implement countermeasures. "Military science says very simple things. To conduct successful countermeasures, several elements must be achieved in preparing for offensive operations. This involves stabilizing the line of combat engagement that has occurred in certain areas of the front. This involves cutting off reserves and logistics. This is precisely what we see. And the third component is accumulating an advantage in the area where counteractions are planned. Advantages aren't limited to personnel. Modern warfare shows that it's possible to gain an advantage in the drone component," Tkachuk said.

According to him, Ukraine is using the logistical blockade of Crimea to further exploit this advantage, at least at the tactical level.

"The successes we've seen in the Alexandria area, and in some other areas, are the result of a complex of operations and actions taking place as part of the logistical blockade of the Crimean Peninsula," Tkachuk noted.

The blockade of Russian logistics in the south should translate into gains for the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the front lines, military expert Pavlo Narozhny said on Radio NV .

"We see strikes being launched against various facilities, including oil storage facilities—the geography is vast. There are strikes against transport logistics, with trucks and fuel tankers being destroyed. Nearly 60-70 percent of the traffic on the transport artery leading from Rostov to temporarily occupied Crimea is being destroyed," Narozhny noted.

He also said that attacking Russian oil refineries is technologically difficult. However, there is a fuel shortage in temporarily occupied Crimea, the occupied Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and the southern Zaporizhzhia region. "And this means that logistics have been halted," Narozhny emphasized. He added that the Russian invading army was facing a fuel shortage.

"But this hasn't yet translated into an advantage. We see that we're making progress. Slowly, of course, but we're making progress in southern Ukraine. We've recaptured positions on the islands near the Kherson region, and the number of attacks in the Orekhiv area, near that very same Mala Tokmachka, has significantly decreased. Therefore, I'm more than confident that this logistical success of ours will ultimately translate into success on the battlefield," Narozhnyy asserts. As a reminder, the disruptions in supplies to temporarily occupied Crimea were yet another blow to Russia's narrative that Moscow is winning the war against Ukraine. Analysts explained that long-range strikes are reducing Russia's ability to produce gasoline, while attacks on logistics are hindering the ability to transport what Russia can still produce to the front lines.
