John Ireland: A Downland Suite: Elegy. Frank Wootton: Paintings.

Originally written by John Ireland for brass band, "A Downland Suite" was later arranged for string orchestra by Geoffrey Bush. The second movement of the suite, the "Elegy", is played here by the City of London Sinfonia, conducted by Richard Hickox.
The paintings are by the English artist Frank Wootton.
