The GOVERNMENT Came to Our HOUSE! The Dogs were Confused!

We had a crazy start to our day today when a knock on the door turned out to be FEMA officials going door-to-door assessing local flood damage. Thankfully, our property didn't have any structural or basement flooding, though many of our neighbors weren't as lucky. Once the excitement of the black government vehicles passed, it was time to get to work in the backyard dealing with a massive breakout of wild mushrooms and a completely rotted-out apple tree!
Watch as Jamie shows off his incredible strength and uses a little leverage to push the dead tree right over. Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor were so curious about the big crash, though Eleanor thought the falling tree was a little bit spooky! With the tree down, Jamie started working hard on getting the pool cover cleaned and prepped because we finally hit our very first 80-degree day of the year. The girls were absolutely begging to jump in, but wait until you see what the actual water temperature is!
We also have a super exciting update for our 3D printing hobby! You guys begged and begged, and we finally got the 3D printed hummingbirds to work again, so they are officially restocked in our Etsy Shop alongside some beautiful butterfly dragons and 3D prints of the dogs. Wrap up the day with us as we check on our nesting backyard birds, give Memphis some extra leg support for her walk, and check the pool chemistry. HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR DAY
🛻 FEMA officials knocked on our door to assess local neighborhood flood damage.
🍄 A giant cluster of wild mushrooms took over the base of our old apple tree.
💪 Jamie used his leverage to push a completely rotted dead tree down in the backyard.
🐺 Eleanor got a little spooked by the falling tree while Memphis and Kira investigated.
🛍️ Hummingbirds and butterfly dragons are officially restocked in our 3D print Etsy shop.
☀️ We finally hit our very first 80-degree day of the year in Michigan.
🏊 Jamie started cleaning the leaves out and prepping the pool mechanics for summer.
🐦 The backyard nesting birds got a brand new custom shade to keep them cool in the sun.
🩹 Memphis got a comfortable vet wrap compression layer for our warm evening trail walk.
🌡️ We tested the pool water temperature to see if it's finally warm enough for a swim.
