Rep. Mike Coffey Urges the Governor to Opt Into ‘The Educational Choice for Children Act’

The Educational Choice for Children Act requires states to opt in and will go into effect in 2027. The program is designed to empower parents and provide crucial educational services to students in K-12 public and private schools. Donors can give up to $1,700 and receive a tax credit for 100% of that expenditure. So far, Governor Pritzker has not opted Illinois into this program.
