Shen Yun Performing Arts dazzled audiences at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver,
Canada on April 12th. Theatregoers praised the classical Chinese dance and live orchestra.
Oh my goodness, it was absolutely visually stimulating. It was beautiful, it was colorful,
it was engaging. I feel like I need to see it again. There's so much to see in this production
and I think you should see it a second time just to make sure that you fully grasp
the whole show. It was amazing, it was beyond this world, it was so fascinating. I loved
everything, the costumes, the storyline, the dance, the moves, everything was amazing.
I feel very happy, I feel very energized. I received a huge amount of energy, very positive
energy after this show, after seeing all those amazing dancers and hearing this beautiful music.
Music is beautiful, it's traditional Chinese music. The instruments are also very unique.
I can say that accompanist is also great because it was very, very balanced with musical instruments
and the quality, just breathtaking. Everything was great. All very engaging. That made for a very
multi-leveled viewing experience. So not only do you have these beautiful performers,
you have this background that comes to life and then you have the enjoyment of the orchestra in
front of you that makes it very real. Shen Yun's mission is to revive 5,000 years of
traditional Chinese culture from before communism, which resonated deeply with the audience members.
Learning about traditional Chinese culture, because this covers the last 5,000 years,
I understand, and the changes and the spiritual connection of people and music and dance,
everything just moves me very much. I think it's a great mission. I think it's very important for
people to know about this culture because originally I also come from Soviet Union
and similar situation. And of course, it's important to know what was the culture before
communism in every culture which happened to have it. In addition to ancient myths and legends,
Shen Yun also depicts modern day stories of courage in the face of spiritual persecution.
One of the reasons that Shen Yun currently cannot perform in China.
It's very sad. It's very horrible that those things happen. Still nowadays they happen
and people need to know about it. And we probably should do everything to make people
know about those things which are happening. No one should oppress someone because of their
religion or their beliefs. So yeah, I hope the mainland China can experience the freedom
that the people deserve. Artistic director, great job. Very, very good job. Fascinating.
The only one I believe. There is no such company as Shen Yun in the world. It's the only one.
You guys are doing such a wonderful job. I hope you continue with being so creative that you are
and I hope you get lots and lots of success. Shen Yun has completed the Canadian leg of his

in Vancouver, Canada on April 11th and 12th. Theatregoers praised the classical Chinese dance,
live orchestra and storytelling on stage. It was a really wonderful show. I'm impressed in
a good way. Yes, especially the music, the orchestra, the technique, how many times they
spin. That's really amazing. This is the highest level of performance and I cannot compare with
anything else. It's unique. Just how graceful they are in their dance moves and agile and
their ability to do a lot of different movements that look very complicated and difficult.
Through classical Chinese dance and music, Shen Yun seeks to revive 5,000 years of traditional
Chinese culture. Audience members said the stories on stage gave them a window into a
We always want to keep our culture because they were so invaluable for our people to keep going
to what we learned from the ancestors and telling to our kids that what we had and what we want to
have and continue as a respect, as a culture and family and everything. I believe that's a great
thing to continue. We don't want to forget them because we are part of those ones.
It just gives you a picture into the culture, into some of the beliefs and things that
we're not necessarily familiar with. So yeah, it's always interesting to learn about other cultures.
Based in New York, Shen Yun has been touring the world since 2006. The performance also
explores themes of faith and spirituality and audience members said it left them deeply moved.
Oh, I think it really gives a good picture of what their belief systems are and just how
important it is to keep traditions alive from a culture when it's not allowed to,
you know, flourish or be actually extinguished altogether. I think it's a real terrible thing
to not be able to celebrate one's culture over thousands of years. So it's wonderful
to see that they are still able to preserve that through this dance performance.
Sometimes we might not believe in that. Sometimes evil is near, but you are connected.
If you believe, if you follow that good way, it supports you. And even some moments when
the bad side, right, the people sometimes choose the wrong side, at some point they will look to
the light, to the bright side, to the good one. So a very good message of the performance in
general. It was a great performance and thank you so much for showing us love and dance and your
energy. We really enjoyed the time that we had here. Thank you so much for putting so much hard
work in and doing an incredible job of expressing a culture and the dance in such a beautiful way
for their dedication. Shen Yun has completed the Canadian leg of his 2026 world tour
