Lets Chat live With Huskies

Let's see if this actually works. I hope it works today. I hope it works today We're coming on here to do a short little live show. We won't be live for super long Holding this in my hand. I probably should have got my tripod because I think it'll be a little shaky in my hand What do you think? Shall we? Oh my excuse you. You're right Okay Yeah, so Wasn't super planning on going live today had some other things kind of planned, but oh hi Memphis. Oh, hi Oakley But we ended up having to drive a friend of ours downstate to pick up a car and I didn't have a video go up in time, and I'm like well I guess we're just gonna go ahead and do a short little live chat answer some questions for you guys and Hang out a little bit. I'm gonna see See how it's shaky. I'm gonna see if I can get my tripod maybe Except I don't know where my mount is so That could be an issue. I guess we're just gonna roll with it We're just gonna go with this and hopefully I don't shake the camera around too much for you guys Let me know if you can actually uh well, I guess you guys are responding so I guess you can see and hear me Just a little shaky Whoa hi Memphis Thank you, somebody just did a super chat Beast boy, thank you for the super chat so oh are we really we're gonna do this already Thank you for the super chat fell sans really this we're gonna do this already Memphis is like play with me play with me. I want you to play with me And it did start a raining out a little bit So it got cloudy so we don't have a lot of daylight in here, which kind of sucks all right well live with the Huskies of GTTSD wrestling It's always something Get her To any of the new subscribers that we have gained recently welcome to our channel for those of you that don't know That is miss Oakley. She's 14 years old the gray girl there That is Memphis, and she is 5 years old, and then this is Shelby, and she is going to be 11 years old Geo, thank you for the super chat says hey guys loving the videos my dog Nova loves seeing her sisters from a different state That's so awesome They're not brutally murdering oh, they're brutally murdering each other it's so cute No, they're just being Huskies, which is pretty typical of how they act They've been cooped up for a couple hours We like I said we had to leave and go downstate and pick up a car for a friend of mine So the girls were here Pretty much all by themselves for the past four hours while Greg came over and fed him and let him out and did all that fun Stuff so they weren't really all by themselves, and they napped the entire time We were gone, but now they have pent-up energy, and it's raining so we can't really go outside and play Which kind of sucks, and I know this is a later live show than normal And it was kind of a surprise live show We didn't really like a we were gonna go live and do all that stuff because I wasn't So And I can't be on for too long because I have to shut the air conditioner off to do a live show Somebody just asked how hot it is here. It was 92 with like I don't know stupid humidity I think we're at 87% humidity right now Because it is definitely gonna rain, and it's gonna get wet out there We got Memphis you got twinkle star You get that twinkle star you get it. I'll get that twinkle star So it is hot I turned the fan off in the AC off so we could do the live show so you get it so you guys could hear Us some of you may be wondering why we don't have central air if you see that little thing over there That is a boiler system We live in northern Michigan and a lot of homes up here are heated with boiler heat instead of forced air Because it is more efficient in very cold weather Thank you Helen for the super chat and because we have a boiler system. We can't have force or a Central air without installing an entire new system We have to install the venting and the furnishing and then I know some of you are gonna say well Why don't you get a mini excuse me a mini split system? Which we could do but they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for it What my goodness we're looking at Shelby We're looking at huh? She's like, I think it's gonna rain guys It might it just might rain We couldn't care about the noise. Oh you would if I turn that thing back on it's loud But it keeps the whole house nice and cool, which is nice. So I cranked it for a little bit just before I Just before I turn it out. Somebody said it's hot here in Virginia. Our humidity is over 70% sticky Yeah, it is super sticky here right now. It's it's crazy I know a lot of people are always like, oh 90 is not hot. It's a hundred and fifteen in, Arizona Yeah, but wait to you you do a hundred and fifteen in sticky Sticky humidity. It really makes a difference. Are you gonna play with Oakley? You can play with Oakley. Oakley will play with you She will I've seen her do it Somebody asked about how Excuse me about how Jamie's foot is if you watch our vlogs at youtube.com slash snow dogs vlogs. You will know that Jamie dropped a ball hitch on his foot and we didn't know if it was broken or sprained or what but uh He's actually doing pretty good. His foot seems to be doing all right. What where are you girls going? What are you looking for? Hey the party's in here Party's in here. Oh, they hear the hose outside My brother is doing good, too Your dogs remind me of the Little Pony characters Memphis's Pinkie Pie Shelby as Rarity and Oakley as Applejack and Shiloh as Princess Luna That's adorable Are you guys camping anytime soon? Not in this heat. We definitely cannot take the dogs camping when it is this hot out We're doing a live show surprise They'll heard you playing with the hose apparently Yep Upgrade 719 says have what have you done in the past to socialize your animals from the start? Socializing the dogs we pretty much just take them everywhere with us They see they meet and greet a lot of people we take them to a lot of stores that they're allowed to go into You know pet stores and stuff. What? Shelby She threw her ball back here. Jamie daddy. She threw her ball. I can't get it That's not the ball she threw it's over here she'll show you Julia thank you for the super chat. Yeah, the red ball. Yep that one. That's the ball. That's the ball. She just threw Um, but yeah for socializing the dogs, you know, they interact with our friends a lot They interact with a lot of people all the time. We try to take them places where they can go and meet people really And other dogs is that Twinkle Star? I missed that one. No, what is that? You get that Twinkle Star get it? Get it Got a twinkle star Somebody said Oakley so calm. She's 14 years old older dogs are usually calm Everybody says hi Jamie and a couple people asked how your foot is He's on it so we're good it's not broken What type of Kong do we use a red one and a black one and a and a purple one? Just depends on who we're giving it to So we have to use the red ones or the black ones or the purple ones Shelby does look like Applejack. She kind of does, huh? Memphis's favorite toy is that stinking little twinkle star or the birthday cake that sings happy birthday. That's the other one She really likes It's a hundred and twenty here in the desert. How do you manage the heat for you and your dogs? So we have been experiencing on I guess it wouldn't be unseasonably. It would be on Not normal heat in northern Michigan. We don't normally see the temperatures that we're seeing right now for long periods of time We usually will have like a day or two that'll hit 90 But then it'll go back down into like the low 80s and then we might have a day or two of hot and then it'll Go back down, but we don't normally have this Continuation of insane heat the humidity. Yes, but the insane heat no So we've been dealing with that a lot this year. What we usually do to help keep our dogs comfortable is one We have a giant window unit air conditioner that you can see in the window over there that actually does keep the entire house cool That was why we bought that one We have a fan over here and we have a fan in the hallway and we circulate the air throughout the house Usually have that thing on pretty much all the time when it's hot So we do that and then we make like I'm sure you guys have seen like the frozen treats that we make we make frozen Treats we do frozen Kong treats. I actually think the next treat video We are gonna do is gonna be another frozen Kong treat in the summer I like to do a lot of Summertime treats anything that I can make for the dogs that I don't have to turn the oven on and show you guys how to Make like any type of no-bake cookies or any type of frozen treats I really like to do in the summertime with the dogs because one I don't want to turn the oven on when it's 92 degrees Outside with 87% humidity and heat index of like 98. That's just silly Yeah, what and then the other thing we do is like we have the pool outside The dogs are allowed to go outside and get in the pool. We don't let them spend a lot of time outside Because it gets so hot and they can overheat just like we can so we'll spend time outside earlier in the morning And then in the evening when the temperature starts to drop we'll go outside and we'll spend more time outside Got any tip how hot is it gotten in Michigan? The hottest we had was a hundred and set with 109 It was a hundred and nine with the heat index in northern, Michigan My dog will drown in a pool. Oh man my dogs like the pool We have the bigger pool that they can get in but they seem to like the little pools better and playing with the hose and More than actually being in the pool and I think it's just because they have a hard time getting in and out of it by Themselves, so we've talked about getting one. That's a little bit bigger to help them get in and out of it What part of Michigan do you live in we live in northern lower, Michigan those of you from Michigan that will make sense Lansing is not near Alpena Lansing is about four and a half hours away from Alpena What's the coldest day we had we've had? Oh, I don't know. I've seen it with the With the wind she'll be down to like minus 29 Charles and Thor plans to come up and see us anytime soon. Yes. We're planning a camping trip Hopefully in September with Charles and Thor So hopefully we'll be able to go camping with them in September Speaking of that, I believe it's also in September that we'll be at the Pet Expo in, Minnesota So if you guys live in or around Minnesota we'll be at the Pet Expo if you're not in our Facebook group Which I know a lot of you that watch the live streams usually are We have a Facebook group on Facebook, of course at and you can find it by searching gone to the snow dogs Audience or I believe there's a link down in the video description to the group as well. We have a page We have the gone to the snow dogs page. Then we also have an actual group Join the group because we're gonna be posting the events that we're gonna be at like the Minnesota Pet Expo and then Petcon in Novi, Michigan. We'll be at again this year And then we might be going to New York as well for a Pet Expo Really? Really? Really? This is what happens when dogs get pent up Minnesota Minnesota Minnesota, Minnesota. Yeah The Pet Expo I believe is in Manette minion Hey, I'm trying to talk you guys are making me laugh. Oh my goodness, really? really Minneapolis, Minnesota That's it Pam says, how do you keep them calm when recuperating? Oh, man Oh somebody asked about the Green Bay Pet Expo if there's a Pet Expo in your area that you want to see us at the best Thing you can do is one you got a hairball Shelby email us and let us know about it But even better than that email the Pet Expo themselves and tell them that you want to see us there and give them our email So they know how to get a hold of us that usually works the best if they know that you guys want to see us there Whoa? What are you doing? Really? So vicious What are they doing Seriously, what are they doing? Hey, hey calm down for two seconds Julia, thank you for the super chat Oh, I missed another super chat. Hold on soulmate side says we got snow early in July in Newfoundland I'm totally moving to Newfoundland. Are you kidding? You got snow? That's awesome What time is it right now? I have no idea Are you done? really, I Mean like I know you were cooped up inside and stuff, but holy man Rosa wants to know how Oakley's doing. She's doing okay. She's having her moments. She's uh She's had a couple of rough nights where she doesn't want to fall asleep at night, but she's eating good She's doing everything pretty good. She just still has her moments Definitely still has her moments He's just like you guys are done right I wish I could see you I live in Minnesota Well, we'll be in Minnesota at the whoa, that was really overexposed at the pet Expo in Minneapolis, Minnesota Minneapolis, Minnesota, is that how you say it? Minneapolis Was that was that super fun Memphis Did you have the most fun ever? So yeah, we'll be at the will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota pet pet Expo the Novi Michigan pet Expo possibly in Novi is in November and then possibly one in New York in late November as well So follow the group page I will be posting the events in there to let you guys know and then we also have some camping events coming up where we Might be doing little mini meetups at the events that we're at The Minnesota pet Expo is in September, I believe and then the Novi one in the New York one are both in November So we got a little bit of time still a Little bit of time Are you done? Is that amazing? Does Oakley still dig not as often as she used to Thank You Shirley for this super chat Yeah, she doesn't dig as often as she used to do. We have an Instagram. We do have an Instagram I try to post at least one photo there a day. It's instagram.com slash gone to the snow dogs You can find us on Instagram Facebook Twitter all the places we try to be all the places Try to be can't guarantee that will be but we do try to be Oakley's like I really don't care right now Oakley's just not super active and she's really not Somebody says Jessica says I'm from Michigan and I may be able to meet you and your pups in November I like your name Has Shelby had any lumps lately knock on wood? Come on, we got to find some wood knock knock on some wood Shelby has not had any lumps lately Shelby actually went to the vet today, which again if you're following us at youtube.com slash snow dogs vlogs You'll see this in a vlog next week She had a bladder infection when we went camping and she was on antibiotics for it Antibiotics antibiotics didn't clear it up completely So we had to go have a like a test done and they had to test her urine and test a bunch of other stuff Dr. Duff love thank you for the super chat So anyway, they did this test to make sure they gave her the right antibiotics for what she had and she was on for 10 Days, she went into the vet today. And as of today everything looked good She's got to go back in four more weeks and have it done again The reason we chose to do the extra testing is because some of the levels that came back showed that her kidneys were having issues And we wanted to make sure that everything was good And there was nothing going on nothing going on that we couldn't see in her kidneys husky lover 6 7 5 Thank you for the super chat You have discussed the noise of your window unit. There is another quieter option the pioneer 12,000 BTU something something something Ductless mini split. Yes, we talked about that a little bit the mint getting a mini split. So When I called the people that can install the mini splits to have one installed in our house they said it was gonna be around $10,000 and I only paid like $500 for the air conditioner and yeah, it's loud But I could just turn it up before I know I'm gonna do things like this and then turn it off and it's okay It's okay So yeah, somebody asked where they can mail stuff to we have a PO box down in the video description below When will we do another mail time? I had really hoped I was gonna do one today, but that wasn't what happened So maybe we'll do it on Tuesday Maybe we'll do mail on Tuesday pupjoy box next week Friday and then a new treat next Monday after that.
