LIVE with the Huskies of Gone to the Snow Dogs Q&A AMA

So like I said, should be working, should be able to hear us, let me know if you can hear us and all that good stuff. It's working! Live m'lady 12, thank you for the super chat, it's working! Let's see if we can switch to this camera, you're only going to see Memphis. I need to get a set up where I have a camera on that side of the room and a camera on this side of the room because right now Shelby's down there where you can't see her and Oakley's over here where you can't see her. So I need to get a set up where I have like multiple cameras which would be, that would be kind of cool. Hey Penny! Yeah, it's Memphis, it's Miss Memphis. So everybody can hear me, it looks good, it looks like we got people logging in. I can hear you but it sounds quiet. Turn your volume up! No, just kidding, hold on. Is that better? Am I louder? I don't want it to crack and make weird noises so let me know if that sounds a little bit better. I do have the microphone a little bit, in a little bit different of a place. Is the volume too low for anyone else? Alright, let me, let me. Okay, before we start going too crazy. Whoa! That shouldn't be yellow. Is that better? Is the volume better now? Tell me, somebody tell me. I know there's a delay between when I change it and when you guys actually see it. Kayla Nichols, thank you for the super chat. So yeah, I know there's a delay from when I do it to when you guys, or when I see your comments. It's not like immediate, there's like a little bit of a delay. So hopefully the volume is a little bit better now. Hopefully. I can hear you better, yes it's better. Technology Master, thank you for the super chat. Good, we are good. Volume is better. Alright. Okay, cool. So, we got this started. Ashley, thank you for the super chat. Ashley, are you the same Ashley that contacted me about the dog? Um, your name looked really familiar. Anyway, what was I gonna say? I forgot. Oh! Welcome to a Q&A, live show, AMA, whatever people are calling them nowadays. A live show with us and the dogs where we try to answer some of your questions and just hang out, have a good time, talk with you guys, update you guys on a couple of things and yeah, just have a fun Friday. Somebody asked earlier on why we don't do quote unquote fan Fridays anymore. This is kind of fan Friday. I do have a full mail video that needs to go up. I believe it's gonna go up next week from all the mail that you guys have sent the dogs that I have not put in a video yet. So I have that. It'll either go up next week or the week after. We're gonna be at VidCon, so it'll go up sometime around that. The pack 1999, thank you for the super chats. How's your day going? It is going wonderfully. So yeah, basically that's what this is. If you guys have a question, you can leave it... Hold on, I gotta... This is peaking on me. If you have a question, you can go ahead and leave it in the comments. I'm sorry, I apologize now. I cannot answer every single question. As you can tell, the chat goes really fast. Sometimes I do miss them. Or you can choose to do a super chat. Super chat basically helps support the channel, helps us to continue to be able to do what we're doing. And we will try to answer... Thank you for the super chat, Haley Klein. We will try to answer all of the super chats. If you want your super chat to be highlighted, I don't know why YouTube does this. It's a YouTube thing, not me. It has to be over $2, otherwise it doesn't highlight. I don't know what the deal is with that. So, if you do one that's less and I miss it, try to let me know. I'll try to keep an eye on it. We should be okay. Oh, man. We've done so many. I mean, they like pretty much all of them that we make, but we've done so many. I... They did like the watermelon ones. That's our most popular treat. Oh, there's a Miss Shelby. Everybody wants to see Miss Shelby. Favorite treats they've done so far. Man, I don't know. Or favorite treats we've done. They like the chicken nugget treats we did last week. I'm actually going to do a dog chicken nuggets versus McDonald chicken nuggets video using those treats. Because I thought it'd be funny. Shirley Oakley is 14 years old. Oakley just turned 14. And Memphis is 5. Oakley's 14, Shelby's 10, and Memphis is 5. Can you make DIY dog cookies of the dogs? I have looked into doing that and like figuring out how to do that the way I want to do it. So maybe eventually, soon. Maybe. What is... Oh, my gosh. Everything is going so fast. Do you bike tour with your dogs at all? I'm looking into doing it with mine. Do you have any tips? I have bike toured with them. I usually use the Springer because we live in the city. So I usually use the Springer which puts them on the side of the bike. And I have quite a few videos. If you search Gone to the Snow Dogs, bike with your dog or biking with your dog and put Gone to the Snow Dogs in it. All of our videos on that will come up. So you can kind of look at the different ways we've done it. And I have a couple of those videos that are up that have like tips and tricks for biking with your dog. So we do have kind of a little mini series on that if you want to go check those out. But I've done it both ways. I've done the biking with the dogs where I have had them out in front of the bike like bike touring and then... And then I've had it where I've had them off to the side. So I've actually done that both ways. Allison Brown, thank you for the super chat. How often do you walk the dogs and for how far? When the weather is nice, I try to walk them a little bit in the morning and in the evening at least. Depending on the weather, it's already starting to get warm here. So we can really only do it early in the morning and late in the evening. We can't really do it during the day. And I've been actually walking them one at a time instead of together. When I've been doing it recently. Look at those ears. Look at how cute those ears are. Good, you're so cute. Look at Shelby still has a big empty fur spot on her back. I really wish some of that dark fur would grow back in. I really wish that the girl that shaved her there would not have shaved that big of a spot either. But it is what it is, right? It is what it is. What's outside? People walking by, other dogs, the windows open. We had the air conditioner on most of the day today. I just opened up the windows. We're just checking out people outside. We don't have a dog park near us. They're actually building a dog park near us. I'm not a huge fan of public dog parks. They kind of scare me. Because you have irresponsible owners with... Irresponsible... Yeah, irresponsible owners that don't take care of their dogs. Kind of scares me, but we'll see. FirewaterPhoenix! I love that name. FirewaterPhoenix16, thank you for the super chat says, How is Shelby doing? Is she feeling better? I hope she's feeling better. If you guys are not subscribed to our vlog channel, you should be. Because it's fun. You get to see us five days a week. Instead of just two. It is YouTube.com slash SnowDogsVlogs. If you are not subscribed. It's also up in the cards, if you want to check that out. We went camping this past weekend. Shelby got a bladder infection. Are you stepping on her? Shelby got a bladder infection. We had to come home early from camping and get her some antibiotics. They are common in female dogs. Shelby also has issues from when she was spayed. She had bladder infections before. It just sucks that she got it while we were camping. She's actually doing really good. One day of medicine and that pretty much made her feel better. She's actually doing a lot better. I saw it, but I didn't see the name. Somebody asked if Shelby's fur on her back will ever grow back. So, one of the reasons you should never, ever, ever, ever, ever shave a Husky. Is because it actually can damage their fur. It can take forever for it to grow back. Shelby had that surgery in what? Was it April or March? It's now June. It's been a couple of months and it still hasn't grown back. It will eventually grow back. It's just going to take a really long time. It was a really bad spot to have to shave it. Her other spots that have been shaved aren't fully grown back either. The rest of her fur kind of covers it, so you don't really notice it. That big spot on her back definitely can't be covered. Could you make mini treats of the dogs favorite treats? Mini treats of their favorite treats. I'm not sure what you mean by that. Oreo cookie. We've made Oreo cookies for dogs. Will you ever get a cat? No! Not while I have Huskies. I will not get a cat. I don't want to have to deal with dogs killing a cat. That would not be fun and it would happen. None of my dogs like cats. There's a house not far from us and the lady's got no joke like 20 cats that she feeds. They're outside all the time and it's gross because they're all outside cats. The dogs always want to go after them. I actually have to not walk by there during certain times of the day when I know there's a bunch of them out there. They're super cute cats and they're friendly. But my dogs just aren't big fans of kitty cats. Tips for car trips. If you go to our main channel and actually search road trips. We've got a couple videos up about road tripping with a dog. Like we have the DIY first aid kit and things like that. But I think I'm actually going to... I have this written down so I'll remember. I think I'm actually going to do a video kind of like we did the morning routine video. And it's going to be road tripping with dogs video. And I'm going to show like all of the things we pack in the car. How we set up the car. The different things we bring. So like the routine that we go through when we know we're taking a road trip with the dogs. I thought that might be fun. And I think that... I mean I think you guys might be interested in that. You'll have to let me know. Because I do get asked a lot about that. Like how do we prepare for taking them on car trips? How do we prepare for things like that? So I thought that might be fun. Yes all of my dogs are shedding right now. Literally all of them are shedding. The pack $19.99 thank you for the super chat. Isabella Delgado. Did I say that right? I hope I did. Are you getting another dog? I don't know. I mean we get asked that every single video. The general rule of thumb is when the youngest dog turns five it's time to add to the pack. But we currently have three. Do we really want to have four? I don't know. I really don't know. Can you go camping soon with the dog? We actually just went camping this past weekend. We didn't upload a video about it here. We uploaded it on Snow Dogs Vlogs. There was three... Three... What was it? Three vlogs where we were camping. So you can... You can go check those out. If you want to check those out. And then we did a camping video here. But it was like two weeks ago. The first time we went camping this year. Memphis is so cute. Memphis what are you doing? Whoa sorry. Camera jitters. Making funny faces. The girls are like mom you shut off the A.C. And you opened the window and you shut the fan off. Just so we can do a live show. I know girls. It's alright. Johanna said can you make treats for dogs with sensitive stomachs? So that's really like a very broad thing to say. Dogs with sensitive stomachs usually shouldn't have a lot of treats anyway. So basically you could use like our jerky recipe for dogs and make jerky for dogs. That would be my suggestion for a dog that has a sensitive stomach that you're trying to make treats for. That would be one of my suggestions. Something very bland. Where's Jamie? He's in the office. He's probably in the comments somewhere too. Wolfe. Wolfe? I think I said that right. Do your dogs ever get ticks? Gosh I hope not. Ticks are horrible. I have to switch to this camera. She's so stinking cute sitting there. Our dogs we currently use thank you loud truck Vectra 3D on them that we get from the vet. And then the other thing that we use is Wonderside that we get from our local pet supply store. So we haven't had any issues with ticks in a long long time. We had an issue one time years ago when it was just Shiloh and Shelby but since then we have not had an issue. We do have ticks up here in northern Michigan so it is something that we do have to be very attentive to because ticks are no fun at all. Can you do a day in the life of your dogs? I think I'm gonna do that as well. The morning routine video was really fun and went over really well so I think I may do a night time routine video as well and then do like a day in the life of each dog. But I don't want to do them all on top of each other so they'll be like spread out a little bit. Shelby's actually feeling pretty darn good. Was not a garbage truck it was just a big pickup truck with a trailer. Will you ever take the girls on a boat ride? None of these dogs have ever actually been on a boat. Shiloh had been on a boat when we had her. We had a boat before we got our camping trailer. We had a boat. What is it like having the trio on camping trips? Pretty much you can see that in all of the vlogs we do from when we are camping. It's a lot of fun. We get stopped by a lot of people no matter where we go. It's kind of hard to go anywhere and walk three huskies and not have everybody want to stop and pet them which is awesome. We totally don't mind but it still cracks me up. Shelby what do you see out the window? What do you see out the window? Amy said just curious what are the coat colors of Shelby's parents and her brother that you initially had chosen? Shelby's brother the one we almost chose was pretty much the same color as Shelby. Are you ready for it? Shelby's mom was actually a copper and white husky. Like a red red and white husky and her dad was pure white. Shelby became orange. MusicNotes113 thank you for the super chat. Thanks for doing this. I can watch this while getting ready for work. Sending positivity from Perth Western Australia. Oh awesome. Kimberly thank you for the super chat says I currently live in Oregon and I'm planning on moving to Northern Michigan in a few years. Any advice? Make sure you have a job in line before you move here because Northern Michigan does not have a lot of work available. It's not a more of a retirement community than it is a starting off your life community. Do you feel like you have Jess Brownie says do you feel like you would have ever made it this far on YouTube? I never even had any idea that any of this that not only would we be doing this still today but that we would be running this channel and Snow Dogs Vlogs and Arcade Snow Dogs and Cooking with the Snow Dogs and all the other random channels that I've started and our Instagrams and no I had no idea we would ever be doing this. I mean it's kind of crazy. Hey Shelby You're just out of the shot. Yeah? Okay. Has it been ten minutes? Do you want your note? Oh. Fair warning. If you're wearing Could you set up a Patreon? King Pine Liat Is it King Pine Elliot? Something like that? King Pin Elliot. Did I get it? We have a Patreon. It's listed down in the video description of every video. We've had it for quite a few years. I just don't promote it very much. I should because we've been talking about if we start promoting it more and actually do a little bit better with it that we could travel more with the dogs using the Patreon and then give rewards of like meet ups and things but we haven't done that so. Um dun dun dun dun Ashley if you are at the vet with that dog why are you on a live stream? You need to go be with your dog. Seems very strange. Very strange to me. Shelby do you want to sing? Oh what was I saying? Before she does that if you have headphones on I apologize I will try to turn this down. They're going to be loud. Shelby Shelby Want to sing for everybody? Sing. Yeah? Sing. Oh it's a pretty girl. Sing. Yeah? That was the prettiest singing ever. Shelby sing. Sing. Look at her tail. That was hilarious. Uh live Maddie 12 thank you for the super chat says what treat should I make my dog? Um any of the 100 treats on our list. Depends on how much time you want to spend on a treat. You want to do an easy one? If it's warm where you're at do one of the frozen ones. Those are easy and fun and I don't know my dogs always seem to like those. Hi Shelby. Hi Shelby. How's it going? I got to give you your medicine. Don't let me forget. Don't let me forget. I know don't let me forget. So funny. You can see these two laying down here but you can't see Shelby so I have to switch to this camera. Memphis was singing she just wasn't singing loudly. We'll try to get her going in a minute here. Oh if you guys are following us on Instagram if you're not there's a link down below it's instagram.com slash gone to the snow dogs of course. Um you should uh you should definitely check it out. There was a movie trailer there was a company that wanted us to help them promote a movie called Alpha and we got to share the trailer on our Instagram the other day and oh my gosh you guys I am so excited for this movie to come out. It's um basically like about I don't even know how to explain it. Just go watch it. It's on our Instagram. It's basically about like how dogs became our pets. How dogs became what they are today. I don't know it's hard to explain. You'd have to go watch it. Rosa thank you for the super chat says I would love to see a video of a day in the life of each dog. I like how you talk as them. I love your family and your dogs make me smile every day when I'm having a bad day. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Well thank you for watching and thank you guys for watching and sharing our videos and commenting and liking and all of the things without all of that we wouldn't be able to do all of this. So thank you guys for being here. Shelby decided to just leave and walk in the other room. Goodbye Shelby. Hey there she is. Look all three dogs in one video. Yay. Oh you want to sing again? You want to sing again? Go ahead. Sing. Sing. Sing. On a note. What was that all about? You crazy puppies. Liv Maddie 12 thank you for the super chat says What treats do you recommend for my dog or what are your dog's favorites? So my dogs for the longest time liked what are they the blue I can never remember the picture on the bag but anyway recently they really like the Stella and Chewy's raw coated treats and I like the size of those treats like they started selling them at our local pet store not long ago and they were on sale so I bought some and oh my gosh they loved them they're like little round treats and they're raw coated treats make sure you wash your hands after you give them to your dogs but uh they love them they absolutely love them probably more than the other treats so right now I think currently I think their favorite is the Stella and Chewy's raw coated treats they also like the wellness treats the wellness little niblet treats Blue Wilderness that's the one Blue Wilderness was the other treats that they really liked dun dun dun she needs her medicine yeah Shelby needs her medicine um she can't have her medicine until she has her dinner though so she has to because it's an antibiotic so you have to have the antibiotic has to be given with um food do you prefer making treats or buying them that is from Windy City Crew 21 I love making treats but we go through a lot of treats like a lot of treats around here so we usually kind of do both I make treats and we buy treats as well do Huskies typically have light eyes? Huskies can have many different eye colors from blue to brown to green to amber to multiple colors in one eye yeah so they can have lots of different colors uh have we tried Neutro treats yes somebody sent us some the dogs like those too Extreme Angel says so does Shelby have a bladder infection she yes she does well she did now she's on medicine for it Michelle Glitter says will you ever go full raw for the dogs probably not just because we travel so much it's not as easy as you think to travel with three dogs and feed them raw food so the dehydrated raw the uh the system we have in place right now I think works really well for them cause they do get raw and they get dehydrated raw but they also get kibble so they kind of have like and the other thing is my dogs don't eat the same thing every day so they kind of have a very well rounded diet if that makes sense it's so crazy dog food in the dog community is such a weird topic like some people get so upset when they talk about it I'm always like you know what if your dogs are healthy and happy then you know you do you uh what are you right you're like right here hi how's it going do you want to kiss the camera he's like um no I would like some dinner I bet you would soon enough that's not soon enough soon enough that's not soon enough firewaterphoenix16 says I know it's a long way but will you come to California uh we'll be in California like next week we'll be at VidCon next week and then possibly back in California in October I hear you I hear you I know you're hungry too right how old are Oakley and Shelby I hope Oakley is her beautiful self and Shelby how wait how is Oakley and Shelby they're both doing pretty good pack1999 says I started watching you in 2012 they're both actually doing pretty good um we've been camping twice with Oakley so far and uh she does pretty good with it each time we go why does Oakley have problems laying down we've talked about this a lot she has arthritis she's had it for a long time she has arthritis in her mid back down into her hips so sometimes it's just a little bit hard for her to lay down do you whoops okay I missed it it went up too fast everybody's staying high I love huskies I had three more Thorby I know we miss Thor so much I wish they lived closer it would be nice if they lived closer then we could hang out with them more um the dogs have actually been playing with my friend Eric's dog Luna Lana I knew I was going to say it wrong dog toy if you what is there a 1% chance that one of them is going to have pups there's a 0% chance that any of them are going to have puppies none of these dogs are going to have puppies how do you crate train Izzy if you go to our main channel youtube.com slash gone to the snow dogs and search crate training in the search box you will find our video on how to crate train a puppy will you ever make a music video of your dogs we have same thing go to youtube.com slash gone to the snow dogs in the search box and search for music video done a couple of them that are up there we should probably do another one someday uh dun dun dun dun uh oh I know I know I know Amanda Amanda thank you for the super chat I finally got to pet a husky they're so soft I hope Shelby's feeling better she is she's feeling a little bit better she's definitely feeling better will we do a pool party pool party with Lana Jamie and I were actually talking about that today it's supposed to be 88 or something tomorrow it's supposed to be stupid hot tomorrow which is what I call it when it gets too hot stupid hot so Lana's coming over tomorrow and we were talking about that filling the pool tomorrow while Lana's here and then it's supposed to be like 94 or something crazy on Sunday so I think tomorrow is a good day to fill the pool do you have a musical.ly account we do have a musical.ly account I just don't use it all that often Shelby what is your deal dun dun dun dun dun Memphis yes these girls are ready to eat what do you think girls do you want to sing one more time before we end the show huh what do you think Samantha Wood does Shelby eat better when camping with raw rev yeah I don't actually have to put anything on her food when we go camping now now that she's on the wellness core raw rev okay I guess we could just do that too are you girls hungry do you want me to just feed you now while we're still on camera are you hungry yeah are you hungry is that what you're waiting for are you waiting for us to feed you dun dun dun dun dun edible utensils okay okay is that what you want alright okay we'll feed the dogs right now instead of waiting so I'm walking away from the camera for a second we're going to have dinner it's going to be great get all the bowls dun dun dun dun oh my goodness oh something so many people ask me to do make cat treats, I don't have a cat we can't make cat treats I'd have nothing to feed it to dun dun dun yeah I wish I could bottle Memphis's energy I really do somebody said hi from South Korea dog box fort uh huh dun dun dun my husky watches me Aurora says hello hello I don't think I can get Oakley to say I love you she can't hear very well anymore so she doesn't talk like she used to yeah the FAQ video would go in the description box that's kinda what I've been saying Brittany says how and when did you decide to change Oakley from the regular bowl Oakley to a regular bowl instead of a feed bowl when she could no longer eat out of her slow feed bowl we decided we better change it she eats much slower now than she used to much slower now dun dun dun can you give me tips about taking care of a dog yes go to our main page youtube.com slash gone to the snow dogs and go watch all of the fan Friday videos ha ha ha there are so many questions and
