During my fourth day in Jackson, Mississippi I went on an epic Southern Seafood and BBQ food tour of the Fondren district. We start the food tour at Brent's Drugs where I tried some Cheese Grits, Chicken Biscuit, Buttermilk Pancakes and Egg & Olive Salad. The Chicken Biscuit was out of this world!
Next up I hit up Saltine for some delicious Oysters and Shrimp and Grits! This place is famous for their incredible oysters plus there shrimp and grits is out of this world! I also tried their fire Nashville hot chicken which was so fire!!!!
We then headed to Pig and Pint to have a beer and some BBQ! First thing I tried was a Brisket BBQ Taco and then tried their Pulled Pork Pork Grind Nachos which were incredible!
The fourth place we visited was Walker's Drive-In, to have some incredible Southern Seafood! We started with a Fried BBQ Oyster Po Boy which was the best Po boy in the world! Then the Everything Crusted #1 Tuna which is their version of the Tuna and Grits! WOW!
To end this Fondren Food Tour we hit up Basil's to eat some BBQ Panini's and Pizza! I tried a Rodeo Panini which has brisket and is so tender! Then a BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was full of honey, sooooo good!
