What you think girls? Time to go for a nightly walk?
Do you want to go for a walk? Do you want to go for a walk Shelby?
How about you Oakley? Do you want to go for a walk? You want to go for a walk?
What? Tell me! How do we get to go for a walk? Huh? You wanna go for a walk? You wanna go for a walk?
Okay, let's go for a walk. Daddy's gonna go for a roll, I guess.
Yeah, we're gonna see about that.
Yay! Walk, walk, walk! Oakley's like, come on down!
All right, all three of them are hooked up and we're ready to go. They definitely know where the door is.
Are we walking Shelby?
There's Shiloh and Oakley.
And they pull me so good!
So for those of you that constantly ask,
how far and how often we walk the dogs, we try to walk them at minimum once a day.
On the weekends, sometimes a little bit more depending on if we go anywhere.
I think they're getting more exercise than me.
Well, yeah, of course.
For those of you that ask if they pull, yes, they pull. If you notice,
Shelby is pulling like a pull back and she just pulls forward.
She definitely pulls.
So...
Them two are pulling too, but they're pulling Jamie.
One of the reasons it's hard to train them not to pull is because we actually want them to pull most of the time.
Shelby's really mad that she's not up there with them. So she's pulling me like crazy. Oh, check the pee mail!
Well, these two are done.
You check your pee mail? Check your pee mail?
All right.
I gotta check the pee mail where the other dogs left their pee mail. Don't run Shelby.
Don't run. I can't run.
Man, heck, I could almost take all three of them.
No, I don't think you could. As soon as I give you Shelby, you'll be dead.
Nope, because Oakley will end up behind me.
You want to bet?
I'll put money on it.
Sorry, if the camera's really shaky, it's really hard to walk Shelby in video.
Right Shelby? Because you want to be in front. See, Shelby's a lead dog like when we go sledding and biking.
She's a lead dog. So she's always in front. So since Jamie decided to rollerblade today and the other two dogs are in front,
Shelby is not happy. So she's just gonna pull me this whole walk. Thanks, Shelby.
They should be learning their G's and I's.
Yeah, they should.
It's kind of nice to walk around the neighborhood, huh?
What do you think?
When we make the big loop all the way around the block, it's a little bit less than a mile.
So some days we just, if it's hot, we'll just go the mile and then other days we'll go
kind of up and down the side roads
to make it a little bit further.
What are you doing, Shelby?
Oh, we almost watched Jamie bite it.
And they're walking.
Walking, walking, walking. There's a Shelby.
Can I get ahead of you girls?
Can you let me get ahead?
They get tired faster than Shelby does.
Shelby's still
pulling.
These girls are a little bit more tired.
Right, Oakley?
That big fluffy tail?
Huh? That big fluffy tail?
It's funny. Apparently we've been doing this long enough.
They know where to turn. Before we even get to the turn, all three of them are like, we gotta go this way.
It's this way.
We found a dog. He won't cross his moat, which is probably a good thing. Just a little dog.
He's cute. Uh-oh, dog's tied me up. This is not good. I'll take the camera. Okay, here. Have the audience.
He's a cute little thing.
Silky carrier? I don't know.
All right. You're telling them, huh? Say, keep on going. This is my grass.
That's that dog's grass. Whoa, extreme close-up of Shelby.
Go.
We gotta keep walking so the dogs don't tie up Jamie.
Keep on trucking, girlies. Keep on trucking. And we made it. Walk's over.
They're all a little bit more tired than they were when we left.
We'll see about that in the backyard. Yeah, we'll see.
Whoa, you almost fell again.
And straight to the water bowl. Nope, I think they're pretty tired. They don't even seem to want to play.
They're like, we're done.
Well, thanks for coming along with the walk with us, you guys.
Get the ball, Shelby. Good catch.
Throw it for her. See if she'll go after it.
Shelby, get the ball.
And she goes. There she goes.
She could still go around a few times. She didn't even get the ball. She ran right past it.
She's like, forget it. Yep, after one mile, we got one tired dog,
two tired dog,
three not tired dog.
She's panting pretty good. Yeah, but
given the chance, she would be running. Somebody would run with her.
Tired dog. Tired dog.
Come and join the adventure.
