Husky Puppy Play and Firework Tips to keep your dog Happy

Memphis is getting pretty good at running with the big dogs. Ready dogs? Go outside! She's like, yeah! I can do this! I can do this! They can do this! I can do this! You can run with the big dogs! Dogs! She's getting pretty good at it! For those of you that keep asking, if she plays with Oakley... Keep an eye on her! Watch her real close! Keep watching her! She's watching Oakley! Oh! There's a butt wiggle! She's thinking about it! Apparently, she's making us wait! Oh! There she goes! She's making Oakley! She's like, tag! You're it! Tag! You're it! Tag! Tag! You're it! So yes, Memphis has been playing with Oakley. She likes to play that little tag game. Where she pretends like she's hiding in the grass and she charges her. Sometimes Oakley will turn around and chase her. But, considering they were just out here playing for quite a while... She's probably not going to chase her. I'll catch it on video one of these days. So, tomorrow is 4th of July! Oakley! Where did Memphis go? I think, she's hiding. Oh! Look! She's hiding. Good hiding spot girl! Good hiding spot! I know some of you have asked, if any of our dogs are afraid of fireworks. So far, no. The other day, the neighbors across the street let off some fireworks. Memphis did not seem to be phased. I know that some of you said that your dogs are scared of fireworks. I was actually watching something on TV today. That kind of gave some tips about what you can do if your dogs are afraid of fireworks. If you're leaving to go to the parade in your neighborhood or the fireworks in your neighborhood... They suggest leaving the TV or the radio on. Just basically like a noise deterrent. Other things they suggested is like the thunder shirts. I know those work for some dogs, but if you don't already have one... Then, you're probably not going to be able to get one by 4th of July. Other people have used like all natural calming aids. There's things you can buy at Tractor Supply. That are like an all natural calming aid. That's supposed to help them with anxiety. Never tried one. Not really sure. But, maybe you can run to Tractor Supply and try something. Some people choose to just stay home with their pets. Because they feel that's easier. That way they can keep them comfortable and keep them safe. I think another tip that a lot of people don't ever say is... I think, if the owner gets nervous and upset thinking their pet is going to get nervous and upset... Their pet tends to feed off of that and gets nervous and upset. So, try to yourself. Just stay calm and not freak out too much about the fact that there's... Oh! There's fireworks and my dog is going to get scared. Well, if you have that fear in your mind and you're projecting that energy of fear... Your dog is going to pick up on that. So, just try to remain calm. I've heard people say they've used Kongs. Filled them with peanut butter and froze them and tried to... You know... Tried to direct the dogs fear into food and giving them the Kongs. So that they forget about the fireworks. Those are a couple of tips. If you guys have any tips on how to keep your dogs safe and happy during fireworks. If they are afraid of fireworks. We are very fortunate our dogs are not afraid of fireworks and our dogs are not afraid of thunderstorms. I'm really glad Memphis is not afraid of either. She's laying up there in the shade. I don't think any of the girls will be going. Memphis may be going to the parade with us, depending on how hot it is. If it's too hot, we're not going to make her sit out there with us.
