Siberian Husky Puppy Camping? And Sled Pulling? FAN FRIDAY #115

This is my Husky puppy, Echo! And it's Fan Friday! There's Memphis! There's Oakley! There's Shelby over in the furnado! It's Fan Friday! First things first, a lot of people are wishing Shelby a happy belated birthday. I'm passing that along to Shelby. Happy belated birthday to my Shelby! What? Tornado! Lorenz and many of the rest of you have asked, when we go camping, are we going to take Memphis? Well, yeah! We're actually going camping next weekend. So, will be Memphis'es first camping trip and yes, we'll take lots of videos. Max says, my dog is fainting a lot and I think it's because of the heat. Um, Max you may want to contact a vet. I don't know that I've ever had a dog that has fainted. So, you may want to call a vet and find out what's going on. Amanda wants to know, if our Huskies make noise when they need to go outside. Um, Memphis doesn't really do much except run back and forth to the door and ring the bell. Oakley will actually stand in front of you and bark when she wants to go outside. And Shelby will stand in front of you and whine when she wants to go outside. You look so tired! Brooke says, for regular grooming what kind of brushes do you recommend? I use the Furminator and a rake. Those are the only two brushes I really use on all the girls. Tiff asked this question and we get asked this a lot. What's the best kind of camera for filming your dogs? We use, the camera I'm using right now is a Canon SX40 HS. I also have the GoPro Hero 2 and then I also use the Canon 300 HS Elf. Those are the cameras that I currently use. Hannah says, since Oakley and Shelby are much older than Memphis, does she do okay having two older Huskies to play with? As you can see, Shelby may be six years old, but she still acts pretty young. Oakley on the other hand, well you know... Oakley likes her spot, don't you? She's like, I'm okay to just sit here and watch these two crazy dogs. She plays once in a while, but for the most part she likes her little hole. Oh, there you go! Most comfortable spot ever! Carla wants to know if we're going to let Memphis pull a sled? Yes, but it won't be until next year. Eileen says, when I am not home my Huskies can be destructive. What are the best toys to keep them occupied? Well, first off you should be keeping your Husky in a kennel or a crate when you're not home. That will help out with a lot of the destruction. You can also use things like the Kong. I know I've said this before, putting peanut butter in them and putting them in the freezer. Those usually help to keep them occupied for some time too. I don't like to leave my dogs with a lot of toys, really any toys when I'm not home. If they're out of their kennel. Just because I don't want them to tear anything up and choke while I'm gone. A couple of you this week asked again about raw feeding. Do you feed your dogs raw? What do you think about feeding raw? I don't feed my dogs raw. Some people do it. You know, some people will tell you that the health benefits are better and that it's better for the dog. You know, it goes both ways. If you actually do your research on it, there's pros and cons for both. My dogs, whoa! Do well on the candidate all life stages. Which actually, we may be switching them to Dr. Tim's food. Because Dr. Tim is from Michigan and I like to support other people from Michigan. So, we may be switching them to Dr. Tim's food. But, I've always fed kibble. Works for me and then I don't have to worry about me getting sick from feeding the dogs raw meat either. We couldn't ever feed raw before because Shiloh had such a compromised immune system. We never wanted to take the chance. So, basically what I'm going to tell you, do your own research on it. Don't listen to what anybody else tells you. Do your own research on it. Amanda wants to know, before we got Shiloh, which Shiloh was our first dog. Did you ever think about getting a cat? I know some of you already know the answer to this. If you watch our vlog videos, this would have been, I think last year she was in the video. We actually had a cat before we had Shiloh. We had a cat named Bonnie and Bonnie actually moved out to Arizona with us. We had her about a year and a half before we got Shiloh. When Jamie and I decided to move back home to Arizona, my aunt basically adopted Bonnie because she was going to be living all by herself and Bonnie loved my aunt. Like way more than she loved Jamie and I. She slept in bed with her. She always sat in her lap. So, it kind of... Bonnie had bonded with my aunt. So, we kind of thought the best thing for her would be to go ahead and let her stay there. Whoa! I thought you guys are going to run into me. Crazy girls! Look at you crazy girls! What are they doing? They're nuts! Kiara wants to know if our dogs get aggressive if we take their food away or something else away. No! No dogs should do that! No! They need to learn that it's okay for you to take their food away. They shouldn't be aggressive when you do things like that. Looks like we got mail! This is a photo of Zoey who painted this picture of Shiloh to honor her, so she can hang it on the wall in her bedroom. Good job Zoey! We absolutely love it! We got a box from Anthony, YouTube user BRMBug. And it's got some really cool stuff in it. It has a whole bunch of light up... Can you see that? Oh! You can see that! Light up leashes and collars! They flash and they do that. Which is awesome! Because we were just talking about buying another set of leashes for our camper, so that we always have some. These will be great whenever we let the dogs outside at night. We'll have lights! And there's a couple of leashes and a couple of collars. Pretty nifty! Thanks for sending those! And we got a happy birthday to Shelby card from Selena! Happy birthday Shelby! And we got a really cool drawing from YouTube user MyPets1031. Her name is Amanda. And Amanda wants to know, if Memphis is going to be doing agility like Shelby? Yes, but not until she's older. And we got a letter with some drawings of Memphis and Shiloh and Shelby and Oakley from Savannah. And we got a letter and a cool drawing from Sarah, Jasper, Dan and Natasha. There's some cool pictures they sent us. That's a pretty horse! It's a pretty dog too! And we got a wonderful letter from Kel YouTube channel, The Almighty Kel. With a really cute drawing down in the corner. From the UK says, this is the first time that they've ever written to a YouTuber. I remember my first time writing to a YouTuber. It's pretty cool! Yeah, I hope it's not your last! And we got a letter and a photo and some really cool duct tape bows from TheDigLaws. Say hi Jamie! Hi Jamie! Say hi Memphis! Hi Memphis! Then, we got a letter and a package from Leonardo and Bernardo. And they sent all kinds of stuff and you guys can smell it, I can tell. They sent a rose in memory of Shiloh. And then... Oh! Look! Treats for you girls! You got treats! One for each of them. Bones! Hey! Can't pull it off the table. Another bone! Mmm! We might have to save those for when we go camping. Those would be a good treat for you while we're out camping. And in that box, they also sent this really cool drawing. I like those colors. The pink and blue look really cool together.
