Hi! This is Kirk from the channel,
Kirk and the Siberian Husky and he wants to say...
Hi! Sit! Hi! Hi! And have a nice day, because it's Fan Friday!
Hi Memphis! Is it Fan Friday? Is it Fan Friday Shelby?
What you think? Is it Fan Friday Oakley? It sure is!
We are hanging out inside, because it is frigid cold outside.
It's cold out!
Ian wants to know, how do you keep your wood floors scratch free from the dogs claws?
Well, we try to keep them trimmed short.
And the other thing is, that's not real wood.
That's actually the allure flooring.
So, that helps!
Craig wants to know, what will your dogs not eat?
Well, Memphis and Oakley will eat just about anything.
But Shelby on the other hand...
Shelby, she doesn't like chips.
She doesn't like carrots.
She sometimes doesn't like...
What's that thing we were trying to feed you the other day?
I don't remember.
There's actually a lot of things that Shelby doesn't like.
There's certain biscuits that even if the other dogs...
What? You want a biscuit?
Even if the other dogs are eating them, Shelby will spit them out.
A lot of times, it's the ones that don't have any meat flavoring in them.
So, she's probably the only picky dog.
Those are a few of the things she won't eat.
Takana wants to know, at what point do you get a new antler chews?
And what size is better?
Large or extra large for the Huskies?
I always buy the extra large just because they last longer.
And I usually get rid of them when they're a little bit less than like around four inches or so.
Charles wants to know, if we follow the sled races at all?
Actually, we belong to a group here in Michigan, the Mid-Union Sled Haulers.
And we do go to some of their races from time to time.
There is one this weekend.
We may go, we may not. I haven't decided yet.
And we also follow some of the Glizda, the Great Lakes Sled Dog Racing Association races.
And then, there are a few ISDRA races that we go to.
Or we at least try to follow like the Kalkaska Winterfest races.
Gina wants to know, how old is Memphis now?
Are you gonna get my hand?
Memphis will actually be nine months old tomorrow.
I know you want to play.
You like this game, don't you?
Like okay, grab my jaw and pull.
You're silly.
Rowan wants to know, is it safe to adopt a Husky that is almost two years old?
I don't see why not.
We adopted Oakley and well, we don't know how old she is.
Somewhere between eight and ten.
Oakley, are you sleeping?
Oakley!
Oh hey, how's it going?
She's like, I'm tired.
It's cold outside.
I'm just gonna stay over here on my rug.
But yeah, I would say it's fine to adopt a two-year-old Husky.
People adopt older dogs all the time.
Zeta had a really good question.
Do you have any tips on choosing a groomer or a trainer?
Yeah, make sure it's somebody you're actually comfortable with.
Go, you know, if you're going to a grooming shop or some groomers do it right out of their house.
Talk to them.
Don't be afraid to ask them questions.
Ask them if you can sit in and watch them groom somebody else's dog.
You want to be comfortable with your groomer.
And if the groomer is not willing to let you sit there and watch them groom a dog,
so you can kind of see what they do or they can explain how they do things.
I wouldn't choose that groomer.
You want somebody that you really trust.
Our girls go to a groomer that is...
I actually know a couple groomers.
I know three or four of them now.
Our girls go to a groomer that's a friend of mine.
She's actually a vet tech at our vet's office.
And that's who they have all started going to just recently.
It's actually a lot easier.
They do shed a lot less now that I started taking them to the groomers.
Are you faking again?
Are you being shy?
That's not your move.
That was Shiloh's thing.
You're not allowed to do Shiloh's thing.
Shelby can't do Shiloh's thing.
Stop it!
Stop doing that!
Stop it!
Emily from Twitter wants to know,
if you tell your dog to sit but they fake sit,
do you still give them a treat?
Not normally.
If you're training them and then you shouldn't do it.
If they're already trained how to sit and they're just being stubborn
and then it's probably okay.
But when you're actually training them to learn how to sit,
I don't want to give them a treat if they fake it.
Maddie Hipp on Twitter wants to know,
will you ever come back to Cedar Point?
Actually we plan on doing another YouTube gathering at Cedar Point
for Halloweekend sometime in 2014 during Halloweekend.
Probably around September 14th.
Yes! We will be coming back!
We got some mail!
If you hear weird ticking, I'm sitting in front of the fireplace.
Probably gonna have to shut it off in a few minutes.
We got a Christmas card from Finland with an awesome stuffed husky.
You girls, this isn't for you.
This is for me.
It has beans in it so you can't chew on it.
Thank you!
Then we got a card and a package from Holly and the Huskies.
Love Mike, Holly, Nala, Boo, Timber, Ariel and Chip.
And there's a package and there's stuff in the package.
What's in there?
Look what's in there!
There's all kinds of stuff in there!
Look!
You want one?
Oh, I knew you'd want one.
You want one?
You take one too?
You want that one?
Oakley, you want this one?
Oakley's like, hmm...
No, maybe not.
Okay, you're getting...
Okay, Memphis is gonna take that one apparently.
How about this one?
Last one in there.
You can go hide it with your stash.
Okay, well then Memphis is gonna take it.
There's a tennis ball.
Want that?
No!
Thanks for sending that stuff Holly!
Merry Christmas to you guys!
Then we got two awesome drawings.
One of Shiloh and then one of Shelby, Memphis and Oakley
from Princess of Fantage on YouTube.
Christmas card from Emily in Canada.
A Christmas card from Andrew and Monique in Canada.
Then we got this pretty awesome drawing from Brandon.
And we got a package and a photo from Nick.
And Nick got a Siberian Husky for Christmas.
I think here it says, the Husky's name is Bear.
That is pretty cool!
Congratulations on your new puppy!
And there's some stuff in here for you girls.
Check this out!
Look!
There's treats!
And what's in there?
Look at it!
Watch it jump!
Oh, who's gonna get it?
Shelby!
I knew Shelby was gonna take it.
Shelby's like, I'll play with that.
Nope!
You're gonna give it to Memphis?
All right, well how about this?
You guys can have...
Hold on, let me open them.
Well thank you Nick for sending those.
We'll give each of the girls a treat.
We'll give Oakley one first.
And then...
No Shelby!
No!
Memphis!
Shelby gets it.
And then Memphis gets one.
Oh yeah!
It's good stuff!
Thank you for sending those!
Geez Oakley, you're a fast eater!
And we got a drawing of Oakley from KibaAlphaWolf26 on YouTube.
We got a Christmas card from Helena in Norway.
And we got a Christmas card from Kundall and Hunter from Texas.
And they want to know, since they live in Texas,
is there a good way to keep their Husky cool instead of shaving them?
You should never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever shave a Husky.
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever.
Unless medically necessary.
Shaving them does not keep them cool.
But you can do other things like make doggy ice cream for them.
Freeze some chicken broth treats for them.
Or buy them their own little kiddie pool.
We also got a letter with a little drawing from Alexandra.
And Alexandra wants to know if we can give her a Husky puppy.
No, we don't have any puppies except our own puppy.
And we got a Christmas card and a photo from Nevada from
Kristen, Mila, Michael and Mika.
I hope I said all those names right.
Card from Loretta in West Virginia.
Card from the Lawrence in Canada.
A card with no name on it, but it is from California.
A card from Matt and Aurora.
An extremely glittery card from Haley and Ollie in Tennessee.
And then, we got this really cool Christmas card from the Netherlands.
Hold on, I gotta open it. I can't do that with two hands.
It is from our friend Ronald.
If you can look him up on YouTube, that's his YouTube.
Look up Ronald, I'm gonna say your last name wrong.
Bonty, Bonty, something like that.
Ronald on YouTube. You have to look him up.
That's pretty cool. I like that card.
I like how it's even in a different language.
And we got a card from the Swankies.
I hope I said that name right.
From Minnesota.
Then, we got a card from snowy Minnesota from Blaze, Kiba and Chuck.
That's a pretty cute picture.
Alright, that's all we have for Fan Friday today you guys.
Thanks for watching. Thanks for subscribing.
Apparently, they're gonna Husky wrestle now.
And Oakley's just gonna hang out over here.
Oh, my camera. There you go.
What's up Oakley? How's it going?
Can you tell everybody hi?
You're doing that weird snorey thing where you're not actually sleeping,
but you sound like you're snoring.
Oh, I love you Oakley. You're so beautiful.
What's going on over here?
Husky wrestling?
Thanks for watching you guys.
Thanks for subscribing.
Stay positive, dream big and we will see you...
Either for a snow dog short this weekend or on Monday.
Thanks for watching.
Bye!
