Alright you guys! It's that time of year! It's time for Halloween and we are going to make some...
Barking pumpkin dog treats! What you think? Sound good?
Getting everything ready? We're going to make some treats! Let's do this!
Alright you guys! This is a fairly simple recipe. You only need one, two, three, four, five, six total ingredients.
What we're going to do, is put all these ingredients in here and mix them together. Ready? Let's go!
Alright, so you want to pre-heat your oven to 350F.
You need... We'll do our flour first. One cup of oat flour.
One cup of rice, brown rice flour. What are you doing Memphis? You don't want to lick the flour!
Can you lick the pumpkin in a second? One second, you can lick the pumpkin. Don't eat the egg!
One egg! You don't want to eat that! No, you don't want to eat that!
You're like, but I do want to eat it! I do!
One cup of pumpkin. Now, this is canned fresh pumpkin, not pie pumpkin.
You don't want to use pie pumpkin because it's got added sugars and things like that.
You want to be sure to use just plain old pumpkin pumpkin.
I knew you'd want a bite! How about you? I knew you'd want a bite too! How about you?
Good stuff! One more! Oh! You got it on the table! Very good table! Get it off the table!
Got it? Come here Shelby! You want some? Want some Shelby? Is that good stuff?
Want some Oakley? Hold on! You dropped it on Oakley's eyeball!
Look Memphis! Right here! Oakley's eye!
Oakley has some on her eyeball!
Alright! Then, we need molasses. Now, I did another recipe that needed molasses.
Some of you guys asked, what's molasses? Where can I get molasses?
Molasses is usually found by the syrup aisle.
So, if you're looking for it and can't find it, try looking in the syrup aisle.
You need two tablespoons of molasses.
Molasses is very sticky, so try not to spill it everywhere.
Which I have done before. I know you want some molasses.
You like to lick some molasses?
That's good stuff! Ain't it?
Shelby, you want some?
Shelby, would you like to try this? Try this!
Oh my! Is that good? Is that good?
Everybody got some? Now, you're gonna be all sticky!
Then, one teaspoon of cinnamon.
We'll put this back on here.
Turn it into dough.
That's about what it's gonna look like after you're done mixing it.
You don't need a KitchenAid mixer to do this. You can mix it by hand.
Now, we're gonna take and put a little bit of flour on the table.
Memphis is gonna lick it all off. Right? No! Let's not!
I said no! Can't do that!
Put some flour on the table, so it doesn't get sticky.
Jamie and Greg came to help.
Get back! Get back!
Stop it from sticking and add a little flour.
Get back! Get back!
I think we wanted it to what? About a quarter inch?
About a half inch. Or yeah, a quarter inch.
I was gonna say, I'm way past that.
Three-eighths maybe?
See? How did you get it so perfect?
You have to add a little bit of flour and there's still...
There's still a little flour underneath and still a little above.
All right, I'm thinking some big cookies first and some little cookies.
Everybody grab a cookie cutter.
Just push them in? Yep!
Push them in and get them as close together as you can.
Just a little bit. Oh yeah! You got it to work perfect.
Memphis, come here! Try some dough.
You want some dough Shelby?
Come here Shelby!
Want some dough?
Good stuff?
Want some dough? Good stuff!
Want some dough?
Good stuff!
All right, here's what they look like before.
Now we're gonna pop them in the oven for about 25 minutes.
All right and once the cookies are done, this is an optional step.
You can take yogurt chips or white melting discs and you can frost the cookies.
I usually melt a little bit of the white melting discs or the yogurt chips
in a bottle like this and then I just drizzle it on because you don't want to use a whole bunch.
You don't really need to use a whole bunch and this seems to work pretty good.
Just kind of drizzle it on there.
Would you like to try some Shelby?
It's a little... Want to try some Oakley?
It's a little... Want to try some?
It's a little... The bottle's almost empty.
There's almost none left.
Y'all got to try some frosting.
Okay, we got to let these cool.
But here, here's a little piece.
Want a little piece? Want a little piece?
Oh, they're good and crunchy!
All right, cookies are done.
Want one?
Oakley gets one, Shelby gets one and Memphis gets one.
I guess the silence and the fact that Oakley finished hers in two seconds means they're pretty good.
I don't have any more. You ate them all.
Actually, I have a whole bunch more but still...
