Guess what we're doing today?
Kira's like, give me this nanner. I'm good. I'm just gonna eat the nanner and we don't even have to make treats.
Oh my goodness.
So you guys, Halloween is right around the corner and as always we gotta make some Halloween themed treats.
So today we are making
candy corn frozen pumpkin treats for dogs and apparently Kira's just gonna eat the outside of this banana.
This is a super simple recipe with only three ingredients.
My goodness girl, you're gonna peel it for me? Good job. Good job peeling the nanner.
All right, so first we're gonna take some bananas and we are going to puree them or Kira's just gonna eat them.
So we will be peeling and pureeing two bananas. Kira already got the end of that all nice and squishy.
We're gonna throw them right in here, but
you know, the girls have to get a bite. Well, I think Memphis should get a bite first. Is that good?
You like banana? Kira's like, yes, please nanna. Oh my, oh my goodness.
Is that...
Is that the best?
Memphis get another bite. You don't, you only got a little bite. Kira got a big bite.
Good stuff? Little bite. Small bites.
Or all the big bites. All right, so we're gonna put this in here and puree them up.
Now because I want my bananas to be very nice and pureed,
I'm actually going to take a little bit of yogurt and I've already added it into the mix.
Apparently you girls can clean the spoon.
And now we're gonna puree this.
Mix it up.
I almost forgot. If you want yours to be nice and yellow, add a little bit of, how do we say it?
Turmeric? Tumeric? This stuff. Just a little... Are you gonna eat it? Just a little bit.
It's really good for dogs, but you just need a little bit and it'll turn it a little more yellow,
which is the color we're going for. There we go. Now you want to make sure that there's no chunks in it,
because we're going to be putting these into these silicone molds and I want to make sure that the little pumpkin faces
show up. So now we are going to take this
without Kira eating it all and we are going to pour it into these silicone molds.
We're going to pour it about one third, a little bit less than one third, because we are gonna have to layer this three
times. Not this in particular. The other, you know, flavors will go on top of it. What do you think?
She's like, put it in my mouth.
It'll go in your mouth soon, I swear.
Patiently waiting. So like I said, can I do this with one hand?
Can I do this with one hand with the dogs trying to lick it at the same time?
Probably not, but we will be. Really? Really? Can I, can we, can we make some treats here?
We're gonna, can I, hey, can I make some treats here? The ingredient thieves. I know it just smells amazing.
Okay, let me finish. So we're gonna pour a little and Kira's still trying to get in it.
Oh my goodness. Okay. Well, okay. All right. This is chaos.
Okay, how about, how about you guys go and I will fill these and show you what it looks like.
Look, she cleaned the whole thing out. I'll show you guys what this looks like in just a minute.
So we have them about one third full and I have a few other ones that I would like to test out.
So now we are going to stick that tray in the freezer for about one hour and let it get a little bit solid before
we do the next layer. You want to have some of what's left?
Of course you do. Of course you do.
All right, you clean that bowl and we'll get on to the next layer.
It's time to prepare the next layer. The next layer will be orange in color. So we are using...
Really?
Really? I wasn't offering that to you.
She's like, but mom, I think you were. We are using 100%
pure pumpkin. Make sure you use pure pumpkin and not
pumpkin pie filling. Those are two different things. We don't want all the seasonings that are in pumpkin pie filling.
So 100% pure pumpkin. What do you think?
You guys could also buy a pumpkin and make it on your own, but I bought the canned stuff.
So what I'm gonna do with this...
Apparently cured it here. Would you like some too?
Just eat it all out of the can. Okay, okay, okay.
What I'm going to do with this is just like I did with the bananas.
I'm actually going to put it in my little food processor, add a little bit of yogurt and water
just to kind of make it a little runnier. That will make it easier to pour.
But before we do that, have a proper bite.
Is that delicious?
Pumpkin is so good.
How about you? Proper bite?
Good stuff?
Okay, now we got to use the rest of it for the treats.
So we added the entire can, a couple of scoops of yogurt and a little bit of water to make it puree better.
And now, are you ready? You ready for it? Let's puree it. Here we go.
I don't think you can get in there.
So now we have this beautiful creamy mixture that we can easily pour and now we're gonna add some to the molds.
So now we're gonna add our next layer.
Orange layer done. Back in the freezer for about another hour.
And now on to the last layer.
We are using yogurt. This is actually plain yogurt with a touch of honey.
Because why not? And that is going to be our top layer.
Now, I'm not actually gonna mix this with anything. This is just going on as is.
You know that the frozen treats are already behind me.
Would you like a bite?
Of course you would. Is it delicious? How about you?
Of course you would.
Good stuff? All right, I'm gonna put it on the top of your treats, okay?
And then we're gonna freeze them again. You see the pattern that's happening here? Don't lick the table!
Nice and frozen. Let's top them off.
And now back in the freezer for about another hour or two. They should be frozen by then.

All right, are you guys ready to try these? Well, it's gonna take a little bit, but we will get there.
Oh my goodness. I think we did it! They turned out so cute!
You can see if you look from the side, they look like candy corns!
Geez, do you want to try one or what? All right. All right, as always it is time for the taste test.
Are we ready? One for you and one for you.
You didn't even...
Well, at least you're chewing.
You didn't even chew it. You swallowed it whole.
Look at Kira's such a lady. She's like, guys, I chewed mine and it was phenomenal.
You want another one? Will you chew this one?
See if she chews it.
She chewed that one.
Couple bites. You want one more? One more. Will you chew it?
She chewed it.
All right, you guys. Well, I think that is a win.
