Easy Easter Jello Pudding Poke Cake Recipe! 🐰 (Easy Easter Dessert!)
Easter Pudding Poke Cake with Snow Dogs Cooking! Looking for a fun, easy, and colorful dessert to bring to your Easter celebration? Today on Snow Dogs Cooking, Jess and Jamie are making a festive Easter Pudding Poke Cake! This recipe is a twist on our popular 4th of July Jello poke cake, but this time we are using creamy white chocolate pudding for an extra rich and moist finish.
Of course, the kitchen wouldn't be complete without our Siberian Husky "kitchen helpers" keeping an eye on things! Watch until the end to see the girls get their special treat while we bake. This cake is simple enough that anyone can make it, and the marbled pastel colors inside make it a total showstopper.
Ingredients
Box of white cake mix
4 egg whites (to keep the cake extra white)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/4 cups water
1 box instant white chocolate pudding mix (plus milk required by the box)
1 tub of cream cheese frosting
Assorted food coloring (Pink, Teal, and Purple)
Easter sprinkles
Peeps marshmallow candies for garnish
Tips and Tricks
🎨 To get those vibrant Easter colors, divide your white cake batter into three separate bowls before adding the food dye.
🥄 When poking your holes, use the handle of a wooden spoon and be careful not to go all the way to the bottom of the pan!
⏲️ Make sure your cake is completely cool before poking the holes and adding the pudding, or it will get too soggy.
🍋 Variation Idea: Try using Lemon pudding instead of white chocolate for a bright, citrusy yellow pop of color!
🐰 Instead of putting the Peeps on the whole cake at once, serve them on the side of individual slices so they stay fresh and cute.
🧁 If you aren't a fan of cream cheese frosting, you can use Cool Whip or even an extra box of pudding as a topping.
Kitchen Helpers Highlights
🐾 The "Egg Tax": While Jess used the egg whites for the cake, the "egg yellows" didn't go to waste—they were cooked up as a special snack for the dogs and the ducks!
🐾 Kitchen Helper Hierarchy: Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor were all on standby. Memphis (first best helper) stayed close, while the others waited for the oven to finish.
🐾 Oven Anxiety: Since the oven was on, certain helpers had to be brave, but the smell of cake kept everyone interested!
🐾 No Cake for Huskies: Even though the dogs really wanted a bite of the "birthday cake" flavored goodness, they had to stick to their eggs.
