We Started a Chassis Company. You Had Questions.
We announced Fat Fender Chassis Company and you guys came in hot with questions. Jason sits down and answers the big ones — what happened with Porterbuilt, pricing, lead times, what chassis are available now, and what's coming next.
Short answer: Porterbuilt is still around doing their thing and we're still friends. We just needed to take full control of our own production schedule and process. PBFAB is still building Chevy chassis — and if you order a fully loaded Chevy chassis from us, they'll be the ones building it. On our end, we've been investing heavily in equipment and people so we can get Ford chassis to you faster and at a better price.
Right now we've got 2WD and 4x4 Ford chassis available and ready to go — short bed, long bed, super cab, crew cab, 5 lug and 8 lug. If you need one, hit us up. There's a lot more coming too. AWD, car chassis, Dodge kits, and more. Jason gets into all of it in this video.
We're targeting full capacity by end of April and lead times are already coming down. The goal is 6 to 8 weeks. First chassis came off the table 1/32" out of square. We're just getting started and it's only getting tighter from here.
