This cake is a true example of homemade pastry: soft, airy and full of delicate buttery flavor. The dough becomes particularly fluffy thanks to the yeast and warm milk, while the generously buttered layers create a pleasantly light, flaky texture.
While baking, a warm, cozy aroma of fresh bread with delicate buttery notes fills the entire kitchen. The cake is golden brown and appetizing on the outside, with a crispy crust sprinkled with sesame or poppy seeds, and soft as a cloud on the inside. It
It tastes best when warm: it literally melts in your mouth and goes perfectly with homemade jam or simply with a cup of tea. This is exactly the cake you want to break with your hands, share with your loved ones and enjoy again and again.

Recipe:
500-550 g wheat flour (4 cups).
2 tablespoons of sugar.
20 g fresh yeast (1 oz).
250 ml warm milk (1 cup).
1 egg + 1 egg yolk.
80 g butter (2 4/5 ounces).
5-6 g salt (1/2 teaspoon).
For the filling:
100 g butter (3 ounces).
For decoration:
sesame seeds.
Poppy.
Knead the dough and let it rest for 60 minutes.
Shape the cake as shown in the video. Brush with the egg-milk mixture.
Bake at 180 °C (356 °F) for 30–35 minutes.
