Today, I’m going to show you a really delicious and simple recipe with ground meat. First, we’ll make a ground meat roll, chill it briefly, and then fry it in a spicy batter. We’ll serve it with creamy mashed potatoes and a fresh salad with cabbage, apple, carrot, and beetroot. Perfect as a filling lunch or dinner for the whole family.

Ingredients:
Ground meat 1.3 lb (600 g)
1 egg
Salt
Meat seasoning
1 onion
Natural yogurt or sour cream 4 tbsp (≈ 60 g)
Garlic optional
Ground black pepper
Flour 2 tbsp (≈ 16 g)
Tomato ketchup
Spring onions
Hard cheese 3.5 oz (100 g)

Side dish
Potatoes 1.3 lb (600 g)
Butter 3 tbsp (40 g)
Milk or cream 2/3 cup (150 ml)

Batter
3 eggs
Milk or cream 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp (100 ml)
Paprika powder
Salt
Flour 5–6 tbsp (≈ 40–48 g)

Salad
Cabbage 10.6 oz (300 g)
Apple
Carrot
Beetroot
Spring onions
Salt
Cottonseed oil or olive oil 2 tbsp (30 ml)

Additionally
Vegetable oil or olive oil for frying

Preparation:

Mix the ground meat with 1 egg, salt, meat seasoning, and 1 onion. Add natural yogurt or sour cream, optional garlic, black pepper, and 2 tbsp of flour, and mix everything well.

Place the mixture on baking paper, smooth it out, spread with tomato ketchup, and sprinkle with spring onions and hard cheese. Shape into a roll and place in the freezer for 2 hours.

Roughly chop the potatoes, salt them, and boil until soft. Then, mash them and stir in butter and milk or cream.

For the salad, squeeze the cabbage well to release its juice. Add the apple, carrot, and beetroot, then add spring onions and salt, and dress with 2 tbsp of oil.

For the batter, whisk 3 eggs with milk or cream, paprika powder, salt, and flour. Cut the chilled ground meat roll into slices, dip them in the batter, and fry in oil in a pan until golden brown on both sides.
