In this video, we are going to talk about Andrei Smayev's potential in armwrestling. What are the things that can make him a world champion and what are the things that are going to stop him from doing so. Devin said that if Smayev wants to become a world champion, he can easily be at least top 10 in 3-4 years. In fact, he would have to be terrible to not become a champion. That's how strong and that's how genetically gifted he is. Initially, John Brazink was having his doubts about Smayev. He was saying that muscles don't mean anything. He was asking whether Smayev's reflexes are fast or slow because if he doesn't have fast twitch muscle, then no matter how strong he is, he won't be able to become the champion. To which Devin's answer was, it doesn't matter whether he's fast or slow. We have seen Smayev do a lot of explosive stuff outside of armwrestling. So it's not easy to say whether this guy is going to be fast on the table or not once he develops the side pressure conditioning. But as soon as Michael told John about the practice pull between Larry and Smayev, John was impressed. John himself has armwrestled Larry and he knows that Larry is no joke. So let's now discuss why Andre Smayev can be a threat to the top level super heavyweights. He's not like any other strength athlete out there. He's not like Larry Wheels. Smayev's arms literally look like twice the size of Larry's. And he's stronger than Larry in every single lift imaginable. And Larry himself is one of the strongest guys in the world. And all of this without even practicing on the table. The guy doesn't train for armwrestling. He's the only guy that you will see walking around with bigger forearms than Levan. With bigger biceps than Levan. With bigger wrist than Levan. With thicker hands than Levan. And all of this while weighing almost 30 kilos less than Levan. He has the best pulling strength in the world. Nobody can do pull-ups like Andre Smayev does. Some of that strength is surely going to translate in his back pressure on the table. Once he makes his hand strong enough where people cannot take his wrist, cannot turn him palm up. All of that pull-up strength is going to turn into back pressure on the armwrestling table. And then he's going to be a problem. Now let's discuss why Andre Smayev cannot be a threat to top level armwrestlers. Especially to someone like Levan Saganashvili. The biggest problem is he is not interested in armwrestling. And that kills the hype train right there. If you don't want to be the champion, you're not going to be the champion. The second problem is we have not seen anything impressive from Smayev on the armwrestling table except for this Larry Wheels practice pull. And Larry himself quit armwrestling like 2 years ago. So we don't know how strong or how weak Larry Wheels is right now. And the third problem is Levan Saganashvili has commented that he doesn't see the potential in Smayev. And we all know Levan is the master of predictions. He is almost never wrong.
