AI GeneratedJason Constantini defeated Jeff Dabe 3-1 in a highly anticipated arm wrestling match in Toronto. Despite Dabe's world-record hand size and immense power, Constantini utilized a strategic approach, transitioning from a top roll to a hook to secure the victory.
And we are back here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We have three more matches on the card.
I'm going to introduce first one of my favorite people in the entire sport.
He stands six foot two, weighs over 300 pounds.
He's been a chef for 20 years.
He's a co-founder of the Table Monkeys arm wrestling team and YouTube channel. The most impressive side of this man,
he's a cancer survivor. He is tougher than hell.
Welcome Jason Constantini.
Jason Constantini coming to the table.
One of the largest competitors here today at AWC, 39 years old,
300 pounds, six foot one.
This guy is something else.
I have seen him transform over the last several years. He's had injuries.
He's had difficulties, but he is ready.
His opponent has the largest hands in the world.
He is in the Guinness book of world records.
He has 1.5 million followers on TikTok.
He hails from Minnesota, USA.
His name is Popeye Jeff Dave.
A fellow Minnesotan coming down the aisle.
Might I say one of the nicest people in the sport of arm wrestling,
Jeff Dave with those enormous arms.
I mean, he's got a 20 inch bicep and a 19 inch forearm with a 12.25 inch wrist.
Come on. He's 60 years young.
He loves the sport of arm wrestling.
I'm lucky enough to have a match with Jeff coming up next month.
But right now, all of his attention is on Jason Tiny Constantini.
This is a fantastic matchup.
Now, a thing to know about Jeff Dave, biggest hands on the planet.
You can see them clearly there.
You can see how enormous.
Look at the size of this guy's arm and hand.
It is something that people have just never experienced before.
It's so hard to get up and around that big giant hand.
That is where a lot of the success for Jeff Dave has come from.
Jason Constantini has told me he's been training hard
exactly for this type of hand.
He's got a plan.
He plans to follow through with it.
Let's see if he can actually get through this enormous mitt.
There it is. Slip out, trying to get to straps.
But an elbow foul is going to restart this match.
One foul to Jason.
It looks like Jason's plan is to get himself to straps.
When I talked to Jeff about this match, his plan was to stay up,
stay high and obviously use that enormous hand to his advantage.
There's lots of risk.
I'm straight. I'm straight.
Ready? Go! There it is.
Jason trying to slip out the back door again.
That time he got it.
Close to an elbow foul on that one.
But the hands came apart just before the elbow.
Now for anybody out there,
watch when they put the strap on these guys.
Usually the strap is going to have a lot of extra material.
Probably not going to have too much extra material on this one
because Jeff Dave's arm and hand is so enormous.
It's hard to explain
exactly what it's like to arm wrestle Jeff Dave.
I've had the opportunity a couple of times.
I've also been able to train with him a few times and his hand
it's like a cloud.
That's what I told you.
The strap was not big enough.
They need to find a bigger, longer strap
because the arms and hands are just too big.
I mean, Jason Constantini has a big arm and hand
and Jeff Dave has one that is just bigger.
So Jeff Dave's hand,
it's very interesting because it is soft.
OK, it's it's you can push into it,
but then it just stops going anywhere because behind that softness,
there is just immense power,
some kind of unnatural power that only a guy
with a hand like that can possess.
It's difficult to explain, and you really have to pull the man
in order to truly understand what is really going on for him.
He's he's such a a great human and really great
for the sport of arm wrestling, because everything this guy does goes viral.
Right. You've seen him on all sorts of TV shows.
He's been on news over and over again.
One point five million subscribers on TikTok.
And boy, if you got questions for him, he'll sit there
and he'll talk to you all day about it.
Just a good dude.
But this time it might behoove him
to get a little mean against Jason Constantini, because I know
how bad Jason Constantini wants to win this match.
We're still in round one.
Constantini has an elbow foul, but now he has achieved the strap.
I know Jason wants to be strapped to Jeff.
I know he wants to take him into the B side.
He wants Jeff to be on the back foot.
He wants Jeff fighting to stay alive.
Now, that's what everybody wants when they go against Jeff Dave.
The question is, is he strong enough and is he smart enough
to get the match to go there?
We are about to find out in round number one.
We're strapped up.
And Jason Constantini, he's worked up a sweat
and he's got himself one foul so far in this match.
Eight shoulders.
Right. Jason Constantini getting very close.
He's pushing himself up and forward.
Now he goes down into that top roll, looking for that King's move.
Not in it now, but watch for him.
Jeff continues to get.
Oh, and now Jason really pushing things,
trying to put Jeff on the opposite side.
And now Jason making his move.
But Jeff comes up almost into a pressing movement.
But he needs that body to come up.
Jeff needs to stand up and try to get more angle and more to that outside.
Now Jason stands up and readdresses.
We've got a heck of a match now.
Constantini pushing him into the hook.
This is not where Jeff wants to be.
And that's exactly why.
Jason Constantini felt it, went there and picked up the win.
What a start to this five rounder.
Banger match.
Jeff Dabe almost had it.
And you can see right there the frustration on Jeff Dabe's face.
He knows he had it and he just wasn't able to get that body position
to bring things back to square one.
Heck of a job by Jason Constantini to be almost out of the match
and get himself back up on the table, back into that hook,
and then finish it off with the press.
Incredible planning from Constantini.
Whether that was the full plan or not, I don't know.
But it worked in the end.
One nothing.
Jason Constantini leads this match.
For those of you who have been hanging out with us all day long,
we have seen some great matchups throughout the day.
I'm telling you, if you didn't see that John
Tarian versus Artem Taranenko match, you need to go watch it.
It's one of the best matches I've seen in a long time.
But here we are with Jason Constantini and Jeff Dabe still to come.
We got another ladies match, Heidi Cordner versus Anna Grunland.
That's Canada versus Sweden.
And of course, our main event, Dave Chafee versus Sergey Kalnichenko.
Now, another thing to note about Jeff Dabe,
he is a completely left handed puller.
He has some injuries from what I've learned on his right
from quite a while ago that has disabled him
from really being able to put full force into his right hand.
So if you see Jeff Dabe, it's going to be on the left.
There it is.
Now, same type of situation.
Jason trying to get out the back door.
Elbow comes off the back of the back on Jason.
Try to run away from those big hands of Jeff Dabe.
I'm telling you, Jeff Dabe's hands are so huge.
It's almost like they've only almost got their own gravitational force.
It looks like it should just be easy to get away from Jeff Dabe.
But it's so hard because look at where the hand goes.
Look at where Jeff Dabe's hand goes on the back of Jason Constantini's.
His pinky goes halfway down your forearm.
It is incredibly difficult to get away from Jeff Dabe.
Look at the size of his fingers wrapping around the back of Jason's hand.
Jason doing a great job of getting away from that hand,
but he's had to take some fouls both in the first and now in this second round.
Let's see where he goes here.
Jeff holding strong at the center table.
Jeff dives right across now going for that win.
Jason's elbow comes off again and Jeff Dabe picks up the win.
It's one to one.
Jason Constantini, two elbow fouls, 1-1.
Now, on one side, you hate to see a match end in fouls like that.
But for Jeff Dabe, him having the ability to hold on like that
and disallow Constantini from slipping and Constantini's,
if his elbows keep coming off the back, that is a very viable way
for Jeff Dabe to pick up wins.
And we can see it there very clear.
The elbow comes way off the back.
And to be honest with you, Jeff Dabe might have had the win in that one anyways.
He was very good.
He changed up what he did.
He stayed up much higher and he dedicated himself up
and into the match instead of down and away with the top roll.
Very good pulling from Jeff Dabe.
Now we're heading into round three.
You can see the absolute
attention that Constantini is paying to everything going on in the setup.
Jason Constantini not only is a super strong dude,
but he also knows the game very well.
You guys want to learn arm wrestling?
Go to Table Monkeys on YouTube.
Now we're in a hook.
Now Jason is focusing on that arm.
He's trying to take the game away from the hand, put it on the arm
and it works for him.
He takes a win in round number three.
It's two to one.
Jason Constantini found another way to victory.
Back and forth we go.
I've got to tip my hat to Magda, who puts on the AWC events.
She puts together these cards.
She has put together an amazing set of matches here today.
Look at the replay.
Jason Constantini really trapping the hand of Jeff Dabe,
taking the hand out of the equation and forcing Jeff to use that bicep.
I'm telling you, you look at the bicep, you look at the forearm.
You probably don't want to have anything to do with either,
but you want to get that bicep before the forearm
because his hand and forearm are second to none.
Constantini, not out of the woods yet.
That's the thing with Jeff Dabe.
He just keeps going.
Constantini wants this over.
I know how much effort it takes to go and put Dabe across the line.
He is giving maximum effort on every single one of these starts.
He does not want to allow Jeff to pull him into yet another match.
Now Jeff with a little bit better position on this one.
Jeff does not want to get out.
Constantini now can see where he might be able to win this match.
Trying to go back.
Jeff trying to stay up, but he might be too far out of position.
And he is.
Jason Constantini takes the win three to one over Jeff Dabe.
A huge step in a positive direction for Jason Constantini.
What an absolute animal of a man.
Three to one victory.
Let's kick it over to John Mill for a word with Jason Constantini, our winner.
Get over here.
What are you sweating for?
That was hard work.
I put in the work.
What was your plan when you faced a guy like that
with the largest hands in the world?
Was there, did you have to adjust your plan of attack?
Did you stick with it?
I did. Yeah.
All the film I've seen, I've noticed that he usually loses through a post
like he usually loses his top knuckle,
which kind of seems opposite of what you think with a hand like that.
When we practice pulled his hand so big, it felt impossible to get around it.
Which again, like technically speaking from arm wrestling,
if somebody has a really dominant hand,
you usually want to put it on their arm and get past the hand.
So my plan was to try to post through his hand
because that's how I'd seen him lose.
But he, the first round I kind of worked.
I got the strap and then I was able to get through his hand a bit and finish him.
But then he made an adjustment, started to fight me high.
Once he started to fight high, it leaves me the opportunity to drop down
and put him in the hook.
And that's where I was able to find some movement on his arm.
So are we going to be able to see a special Table of Monkeys video on this match?
Yeah, of course. Yeah, we'll break it down.
Let's hear it for Toronto's own
Jason Constantini.
What a great win there for Jason Constantini over Jeff Dabe.
A three to one fairly dominant victory.
Very well performing for Jason Constantini.
I talked to him before this match.
He walked me through what he was going to do.
And by golly, the first plan didn't work.
But plan B got him to the end of things.
Jeff Dabe still showing that he is a big problem in a lot of places.
You cannot go easily into a match with Jeff Dabe.
You have to have a very carefully crafted plan
and you need to train for those specific movements.
And when I think of guys who train that way, I.
