Hello everyone and welcome to Circle Time! I am so happy you're here today. Oh I am feeling happy
right now. That's a feeling that I'm having right now. We all have feelings. Sometimes we may feel
happy. Sometimes we may feel sad. How about we sing a little bit about our feelings? First,
let's take a seat right here on the Circle Time rug. Come on. Will you sing the feeling song with
me? Yay! Great! Get ready. Get ready. Here we go. I have many feelings. Feelings are what I have.
I have many feelings. Feelings are what I have. I have many feelings. Feelings are what I have.
Sometimes I'm happy. Sometimes I'm sad. Sometimes I'm silly. I have many feelings. Feelings are
what I have. When I'm happy, I like to smile. When I'm sad, I make a frown. Sometimes I'm up.
Sometimes I'm down. When I'm silly, I laugh out loud. I have many feelings. Feelings are what I have.
I have many feelings. Please don't make me sad. I have many feelings. Can you make me laugh?
I have many feelings. Feelings are what I have. And you have feelings too, my friend. How do you
feel today? Well, thank you for sharing how you feel today. Today, I feel excited. I am so excited
and it's the perfect time to review our Circle Time board. Here we go. Are you ready? Great!
Let's start at the top with our Days of the Week. Remember, when we sing Days of the Week,
we can snap our fingers. One, two. Or we can clap our hands. Clap, clap. Whatever you choose.
Get ready. Get ready. Here we go.
It's Sunday and it's Monday. It's Tuesday and it's Wednesday. It's Thursday and it's Friday.
Days of the week. Days of the week. Days of the week. Days of the week. Days of the week.
One more time. There's Sunday and it's Monday. It's Tuesday and it's Wednesday. It's Thursday
and it's Friday. And then it's Saturday. Days of the week. Days of the week. Days of the week.
What day is it for you? Today is... Oh, well, thank you for sharing what day it is today
for you. Oh, and now let's go down our Circle Time board. The weather is... Let's find out.
What's the weather? The weather. Oh, friends, there you are. You may have to take a peek
out your window and then come back and tell me what you see. I'll give you some time.
Are you back? Great. What's the weather where you are? Really? Wow. Well, thank you for sharing
what the weather is where you are. Now I would like a turn, too. Let's find out what the weather
is here where the Circle Time classroom is. Oh, Koala. Hi, Miss Monica. Hi, Koala. Will you help
us with the weather today? I sure will. Wonderful. It's raining outside, so be sure to grab an
umbrella. Oh, and what are you wearing on this rainy day, Koala? So, I'm wearing my rain hat,
my rain boots, my raincoat, and I'm bringing my umbrella. Oh, wow. Friends, what color is
Koala's umbrella? Yellow. And what color are Koala's rain boots? Green. Yes, they are.
And what color is Koala's raincoat? Yellow. Yes. Oh, thank you, everyone, for helping me with the
colors. And, Koala, thank you for telling us what the weather is. Anytime. Bye, Koala. Everyone say
bye to Koala. Bye, Koala. Bye, friends. See you later. Now, let's find a rainy day picture that we can put on our
board. Come on. I think I have a rainy day picture. Let me see. Is this a rainy day picture?
No, this is a sunny day picture. Let me try again. Is this a rainy day picture?
No, this is a cloudy day picture. Let's try one more time. Is this a rainy day picture?
It is. This is our rainy day picture. Let's put it on the board.
Tap, tap, tap. Now I can read it. The weather is rainy. Will you read that with me? Great. Here we go.
The weather is rainy. Going down the circle time board. Let's go across.
Letter of the day. What's the letter of the day? Let's take a look. D. D is the letter of the day.
Can you say D? Again, say D. Every letter makes the sound and D says d. Can you make that sound?
Let's say it together. D. That's right. Oh, my friends, I bet there are lots of words that start
with letter D and you'll be able to hear that sound in the beginning of these words. Let's see
if our friend, Bear Bear, will help us with some letter D words. Oh, Bear Bear. Hi, Miss Monica.
Hi. Hi, Bear Bear. Do you know any words that start with letter D? I know a few words. Oh,
wonderful. Will you share it with our friends? Yes. Hey, my friends. So I have a few words that
begin with the letter D that I would like to share with you. Like dinosaur. Dinosaur.
Another word that begins with the letter D, my friends, is door. Door. Did you knock on my door?
And my last and final word that begins with D, my friends, is dance. Dance begins with the letter D.
Dance. Hey, Freddy Frog, do your dance. All right. Back to you, Miss Monica.
Now we know lots of words that start with letter D. Let's put letter D on the board. Oh,
and I can't forget, friends, this is uppercase D and this is lowercase d. One more time. Say it
with me. Uppercase D and lowercase d. D is our letter of the day. Tap, tap, tap. Oh, I think we
got it. Letter D. Okay, let's go to the other side of the board. Do, do, do, do, do, do. Shape of the
day. What's our shape of the day? Let's take a look. Star. Oh, today's shape is the star. Can you say
star? Again, say star. One more time. Say star. You got it. This is a star and this is a very special
star. This star has five points. Let's count the points. This is a point right up here. Let's start
at the top. Will you count with me? Okay, I'll point with the pointer. You count aloud with me.
Here we go. One, two, three, four, five. Five points. How many points does the star have?
Five points. That's right. This star has five points. Oh, my friends, sometimes when we look up
into the sky at night, we can see shining stars. They may not look like this because they're so
far away, but when we look, we may see some shining stars. I like to sing a very special song
when I see stars at night. Would you like to sing with me? Okay, let's put our star on the board.
Here we go. And tap, tap, tap. Let's sing this very special song. Come on. Our song is called
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Get ready. Get ready. Here we twinkle. Let's sing it again,
friends. One more time. Twinkle. Let's go back to our board. And now we know our shape of the day.
It's called the star. Very good. Let's keep going down our circle time board.
Number of the day. What's our number of the day? Let's find out. Drum roll, please.
Number two. Number two. Can you say two? Two. Again, say two. Two. Can you count with me
up to number two? Yeah. Oh, I know you can. Oh, let's count together. Here we go. One, two.
How about you count all by yourself? Are you ready? Okay, all by yourself. Here you go.
You did it. Oh, look at that. There are ducks on the board. How many ducks can you count?
Let's count together. One, two. Two ducks. Oh, look at that. There are dinosaurs on the board.
How many dinosaurs can you count? Oh, let's count together. One, two. Oh, two dinosaurs.
Oh, friends, thank you for helping me count all the way up to number two. Let's put number two
on the board. Here we go. I have a number two right here. Let's put it on the board.
And tap, tap, tap. Our number of the day is two. That's right. Two is our number of the day.
Wow. Look at that. We've completed our entire circle time board. I think it's a great time
for a wiggle break.
Before we go, I would like to sing another song. How about
Five Little Ducks? Will you sing that with me? Oh, since D is our letter of the day,
ducks starts with letter D. Let's sing together. Get ready. Get ready. Here we go.
But only four little ducks came back. One, two, three.
Ducks went out one day, over the hill and far away. But the ducks, quack, quack, quack, quack, ducks came back.
One, two, three. Three little ducks went out one day, over the hill and far away. Mother duck say quack, quack, quack, quack.
