My New Neighbors Suck!

Guys, welcome to Elk Shape HQ. We moved in here a few months ago and I'm here to tell you
come to find out my neighbors suck. So honestly when I'm talking about neighbors I'm talking
about these four-legged neighbors. There's a couple sets of pastures that border our five acres
and well I love cows they're cool or whatever they're delicious and these cows have been you
know there's a hot wire fence but somehow they got this fence I don't they broke the hot wire
it must have shorted or something and then I get a trail cam photo sent to my phone from stealth cam
the revolver and I have moo cows in my pasture and then I get here the next day and I go down there
every archery target that I work to stake in and get set up is knocked over and I'm like losing my
mind. Thank you Dan. Enjoy this sucker. Have some fun. Ross and family. You see those bastard cows
in the background? I got trail cameras out here. All three of those effers got through this fence
I got trail camera evidence they knocked over all my targets and I got eyes on you.
So I go down there and I start fixing and setting up this cool new target
from Broken Arrows and they start trying to get through the fence.
Chewed up my archery. Not cool. Seriously. Guys you can't come on this side this is my
archery range. Can't be having that or I will shoot you right behind the shoulder
double lung and then I'll eat you. Right there is a big old chunk of steak
I will roast your shoulder that neck meat I'll make into burger see that brisket
okay I'm gonna talk to Floyd. Knocked over my archery targets man. I'll deal with this later.
Cows got over on this side and they knocked down my archery target here too. Oh that makes me mad.
They jacked this one up too. Look at this hump. I gotta fix this. Bumped into that and knock that
over bring it on. Hi how are you? Good. Good. I got those cows getting in over here. No way. Yeah.
Okay thank you so much. Yeah you got it man. I appreciate you.
You need to be free. Well my neighbor's really cool the one next to us and he had the phone
number to this guy who owns the cows so I was able to get that phone number contact the owner
and let him know and he was like hey man I'll put him up I'll come out and fix the fence get
the hot wire he will have no issues going forward he still hasn't done that yet but I've offered to
help him so if he calls me today I'm gonna drop what I'm doing and and help him get that fence
fixed because I do not want to reset these targets let's talk about the broken arrow steel
target so I got a comment on social media and it was like well why would you ever shoot at a steel
target and my question for them is why wouldn't you your practice scenarios are so safe if you're
in your backyard like there's just there's no consequences if you miss whereas if you have a
and these arrows are not cheap I mean Josh Jones charges ten dollars for just this podium
two-piece titanium half out for four mil how much is your field point how much is the shaft
the arrow wrap the aftermarket knock the veins this is not cheap and so the stakes are high
so when you pull back and you bury that pin on that little yellow dot on that elk target
you got to really focus you got to really bring it in and I think it's hard to stay focused on
animals and this is a bow hunting channel and so this elevates my practice this makes pressure go
up and when I'm hunting it's always pressure when at the moment of truth arrives and I want to have
reps in that pressure zone and I want to feel more comfortable instead of more uncomfortable
in the heat of the moment yeah my heart rate's going to be high yeah I'm going to be excited
yeah that animal is looking around and it's you know shooting foam versus fur there is a difference
and if you're a new bow hunter I recommend hey if you don't have an opportunity try to create one
for yourself where you can go to a target rich environment maybe there's a landowner who's got
lots of does where you can help punch some doe tags or head down to Texas and shoot some pigs
over a feeder or go to a management like just pay to hunt does you're doing them a favor and you're
but if you're feeling confident and you want to test your confidence just go out to that steel
target hammer down and see if you can stack arrows in the foam that's what it's all about
you need to be free
and finally I want to tease the next video guys due to your requests we are going to shoot this
compact 27.75 ATA RS which I enjoy shooting I like it and it fits in my pocket versus the bow
that I hunted in Utah and Montana with the lift x two nine and a half I want to shoot them head
to head 60 80 100 possibly go over to the range next door and just decide which one is my starter
for 2025 we have spring bear coming up I'm headed to Texas all this stuff which bow I'm going to
I want to see which one I shoot better and I'll bring you guys along
