Wishing all fellow citizens a blessed
New Year prosperity in the Year
of the Horse—let us once again welcome the President with applause
Take this opportunity to especially
thank the President who secured
the orchids tea and coffee during
the trade negotiations across the way
And then there's the competitiveness of Wu Guoyu and Lu Yuyang along our coastlines
Next comes the supply-demand zone
It's essentially locking down the entire Jiayi industry
Should we give the president another round of applause
The New Year holiday stretch spans nine days
Today is the Eve of the Lunar New Year
Already the second day of the break
I've specially come to Chiayi County
to cheer everyone on
That's why I chose Chiayi County
mainly because we're already busier than usual
during the holiday period
tasked with maintaining
both public safety and smooth traffic flow
this year's Chiayi County is particularly unique
From March 3rd to March 15th is the period when the
Taiwan Lantern Festival is held and you'll be working
especially hard so I've specifically chosen Chiayi
County along with the Minister
and the Director-General
Cheering you all on and sending
heartfelt thanks — you've
all worked so hard are you
confident you can do it Yes we can
Although it isn't as sweet
as a full-sugar pearl milk tea
it's brimming with the warmth of the earth— one two three
The chairperson also specifically
highlighted that from enforcing maritime
patrols and search-and-rescue operations to cracking down on smuggling
responding to incursions from China's
gray-zone activities and enduring pressures
from military exercises everyone has
consistently stood on the front lines
Defending our homeland is extremely
hard and incredibly
challenging Let'
s give ourselves a round of applause
