Cedar Island, NC - camping, beaches, & horseback riding
Cedar Island Campground boasts location, location, location! Situated directly across from the ferry dock, this is the perfect stop before heading to Ocracoke, NC, or simply let it be your destination for pure relaxation. Our whole family loves Cedar Island Campground. We like to go for about 3 nights and completely unplug from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The best part is waking up to the beach in your front yard and the fresh scent of salty sea air. Bring your tent, bumper pull, or big rig. Cedar Island Campground can accommodate them all. While there, you can fish, swim, take walks on the beach, and even go horseback riding! There is a stable on the property. Also, you will most likely catch a glimpse of the wild horses that run freely on the beach. When you finish at the beach, you can play volleyball or take the little ones to the playground onsite. There is plenty to do here or you can choose to do nothing and sit in your chair and watch the waves while the sand tickles your toes. The beach is dog friendly. Norman loved it too.
