I show you my skincare, haircare, and other shower tips! As always, the products are natural & organic. I'm always switching my routine up, but this gives you an idea of what I do when I wash my hair. Sometimes I don't spend this long.. This is more of a spa night for me!
Hey guys, today I'm going to be sharing my current full shower routine with you.
This is the routine I typically do on days that I wash my hair.
I'll be showing you my skincare, my hair care, and some other shower tips as well.
And as usual, all products are made from natural ingredients.
So I hope you enjoy the video.
First off, I always prep for my shower with a scalp massage and a hair conditioning treatment.
I begin by brushing my hair.
I'm using a wooden brush for this to help distribute oils and massage the scalp.
I start from the ends and work my way up and just get all those knots out.
And then I just flip my hair over and brush from the nape of my neck all along the back
of my scalp.
This feels so good and it's really great for bringing circulation to the scalp to help
promote healthy hair growth.
Next up, I'm going to oil my scalp and hair.
I'm using the Blue Beautify Fortifying Scalp Treatment, which is one of my all-time favorite
hair oils.
I absolutely love this stuff.
This is actually my third bottle.
It contains a lot of really nourishing Ayurvedic herbal extracts to help strengthen the hair
follicle and soothe the scalp.
It smells amazing and it just makes my hair feel really soft and healthy.
And I try not to absolutely soak my hair with a lot of oil because that'll just make it
difficult to wash out.
Everybody's hair is different, so just play around and find what amount of oil works best
for your hair type.
And after I'm done massaging that into my scalp, I just apply a bit of argon oil to
the rest of the length of my hair to hydrate my ends.
You guys can use whatever oils you want.
There's so many amazing oils for the hair out there.
And I like to brush the oils through my scalp and hair to get it evenly distributed.
However, I don't use my expensive wooden brush for this.
Instead, I purchased a cheaper wooden brush of eye herb that I don't mind getting full
of oil.
And then I put my hair in either a braid or clip it up on top of my head with a claw clip
and I just let that oil soak in for about an hour or you can even leave it on overnight.
Now moving on to skin.
Today, I'm just going to wash my face with some honey mixed with a teeny bit of rose
nectar to thin it out.
I personally use manuka honey, but you can use any raw honey you have on hand and mix
it with whatever you'd like.
And if I'm wearing makeup, I always do the oil cleansing method to really get a deep
cleanse.
But I showed you that in my previous shower routine, so I wanted to show you another way
I cleanse my face today.
Plus, with all the changing temperatures outside, my skin has been acting up a bit.
So honey will help soothe it and clear up breakouts.
And honey doubles as both a cleanser and a face mask.
So I'm going to be leaving this on my skin while I let the oil soak into my hair.
Now I will admit, I sometimes forget to do this.
But a few minutes before I go into the shower, I'll quickly dry brush my body.
I like to use a bit of lymph tonic.
I apply a couple drops into my palm, brush it up with my dry brush, and then brush my
skin towards my heart.
Dry brushing has so many health benefits, so I would definitely try incorporating it
into your shower routine.
Now into the shower.
I love bringing a snack into the shower, so I'm eating a delicious pomegranate.
I'm like Joey Tribbiani in this way.
And for a little hydration challenge, I always try and drink at least one glass of water
in the shower.
Today I'm drinking lemon water with rose nectar.
And I use a shower filter to help remove chlorine and other substances from the water.
Using a water filter is not only great for your hair and your skin, but also just your
health in general.
Now it's time to wash the honey off my face.
I like to use a warm washcloth to make sure it's all off.
And then it's time to wash my hair.
As most of you know, I use Kalea Purifying Shampoo and Conditioner.
It's my favorite shampoo and conditioner in the whole wide world.
I don't apply any to my ends because the shampoo will go through your ends when you're rinsing
it out anyways and you don't want to dry out your ends.
I absolutely love my shower time.
It's a time to pamper myself and I feel a shower just cleanses away negative energy
and it's a great place to think.
And after I rinse that out, I apply my conditioner and really work that into the ends.
So shampoo I focus on the scalp and conditioner I focus on my ends.
And while I'm letting the conditioner soak into my hair, this is when I do everything
else I need to do in the shower.
I usually use African Black Soap to wash and shave.
And I recently got this Himalayan Salt Bar.
I'm not entirely sure how I should be using it, but I've been running it underwater and
using the salt water to wash my back and underarms.
Just don't use it on freshly shaved armpits because that would be very painful.
And you can do a little bit of exercise in the shower too.
Since it's winter and my legs have been getting quite dry, I'm going to use my Apotera Tulsi
Scrub to sloth away any dead skin.
And I do this about once a week.
And once I'm done with all my body stuff, I just rinse the conditioner out of my hair
and if I'm feeling like it, I'll do some sort of hair rinse.
I used an apple cider vinegar rinse in my last shower routine so I thought I would do
a rosemary rinse in this one.
All you do is add some fresh rosemary to boiling water, turn the heat down to low and simmer
for about 15-20 minutes.
Let it cool and use it on your hair!
Just dump it over your ends and scalp and let it sit for a bit.
You can either leave it in or rinse it out.
I've also been trying to rinse my hair with cool water before getting out of the shower
because this is supposed to make your hair shiny.
And right when I get out of the shower, I apply some moisturizer to my legs.
My two favourite oils are the Apotera Tulsi Oil and the Blue Beautifly Body Serum.
I'm using my Tulsi oil today since I used my Tulsi body scrub.
And if you have super dry areas, I would recommend trying out a body butter.
And I personally only apply moisturizer to my legs.
I never apply it to my arms because I have hairy arms and my pet peeve is greasy hairy arms.
And now I just wrap my hair in my towel turban.
And while you're at it, you might as well get in a couple bicep curls with those
Kalia shampoo and conditioner jugs.
Gotta get those toned arms!
Now I'm just wiping down my face with some rose nectar to help calm and tone my skin.
And then I apply my oils, serums, and moisturizers.
My favourite part!
Today I'm using the Face & Hair Oil by Oil & Water.
It smells so good, I almost want to eat it.
I gently massage that into my skin,
paying special attention to my temple area and cheekbones where I still have some acne scars left.
I use oils in my skincare routine every day.
They've really helped my skin.
I just love trying out new natural skincare products.
Gemstone's natural skincare products and natural hair care products bring me so much happiness.
And don't forget to apply your products to your neck as well.
And right now I have a pimple forming on my forehead, probably due to my new bangs.
So I'm just going to apply one drop of my Living Libations Jewel Dab onto it.
I usually use Dew Dab, but I decided to buy Jewel Dab this time.
And look what I got!
My dreams came true because they made an ozonated version.
I bought the Dew Dab version, but it came after I filmed this video.
So I'll just show you here.
I'm really excited though because I'm a huge fan of ozonated skincare.
It really helped my acne.
So I just know this is going to be a staple in my skincare.
And especially during the winter, I feel I need a little bit of extra moisture.
So I'm just applying a bit of my Gemstone Organics Moonstone Cream over top of everything.
Take time to pamper yourself.
It's so important.
And who says you can't have a spa night whenever you want?
And I always massage any excess moisturizer and oil into my fingertips and hands to nourish my nails.
Because we don't want any product to go to waste.
And since we're looking at the mirror so much, remember to tell yourself some positive affirmations.
Now moving on to my hair.
I take my hair out of the towel turban.
And then I'm going to spray my hair with this Morocco Method Diamond Crystal Mist.
It contains quartz crystals liquefied into a base of oils like wild rose,
sandalwood, frankincense, and myrrh.
And you better believe I want to be spraying crystals on my hair.
And now I'm just going to brush out my damp hair.
And I get people commenting saying how bad it is to brush my hair wet.
But my hair really needs to be brushed out after the shower or it'll start to mat.
So my mom recently gave me this brush that's specifically for detangling wet hair.
It has these really bendy bristles and I will admit it works really well.
So this might be a good option for you if you're scared to brush your hair wet.
But honestly I've brushed my hair wet with a wooden brush for years
and I've never experienced any damage.
But of course everybody's hair is different.
And then I apply some lip balm to keep those dry lips away.
And put on a little bit of deodorant.
I've been using this Agent Nature Holy Rose deodorant.
It smells like roses and if you haven't noticed, I love roses.
And then I just let my hair air dry on its own.
But I am going to style my bangs with my blow dryer.
So I just re-wet my bangs and then tuck my longest strands behind my ears.
And then I just dry them with a large round brush and a blow dryer.
And I keep playing around with them until I feel they look good.
And that's it guys.
Yes, sweetie?
Yeah, of course.
Thanks for watching Mama's video.
Bye!
