Are you ready to take a peek inside the luxurious life of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry?
And this exclusive house tour will give you the latest scoop on their stunning Montecito
mansion and why it's been making headlines. Meghan and Harry moved into their Montecito
estate in 2020, soon after stepping back from their roles as senior royals. Meghan revealed
they discovered the property online but were hesitant to view it due to its hefty price tag.
From hidden gardens to cozy family moments, here's everything you need to know about their
lavish California estate and more. Guys, I have an important announcement about this channel.
There is someone trying to take this channel, Famous Entertainment, down and have everything
that I've worked so hard on deleted. Click the link in the top comment and I'll explain
everything at the end of this video, so please stay tuned. After leaving their British residence,
Frogmore Cottage, in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle settled in Montecito, California.
The couple purchased a sprawling 16-bedroom estate in this exclusive neighborhood for around
$14 million. Now, five years later, Meghan's Netflix lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan,
has fans curious if the show offers a glimpse inside their lavish mansion. However, in a recent
interview, the Duchess revealed she chose not to film at their home, instead using a nearby rental
with a similar aesthetic. Now, this choice caused some controversy with fans wondering why Meghan
opted to film the series at a nearby $8 million property over her own home. Despite the show
being advertised as a glimpse into her personal life, only a few scenes were shot at her actual
residence, showing off things like the chicken coop and the beautiful garden. But a crew member
from Meghan Markle's Netflix show has spilled the beans on what the Sussex's sprawling Montecito
mansion is truly like after visiting the property to film a few of the scenes for the lifestyle show.
Meghan admitted when they first discovered their actual home, they were hesitant to tour the
interior, choosing only to explore the outside. Having just left the royal family and without
jobs at the time, affording the luxurious estate seemed unrealistic. Meghan said in 2022,
we didn't have jobs, so we were just not going to come and see this house. It wasn't possible.
It's like when I was younger and you're window shopping, it's like, I don't want to go and look
at all the things I can't afford. That doesn't feel good. But curiosity won out, and once the
couple toured the home, they fell in love with it before even stepping inside. Meghan noted that her
husband was captivated by two palm trees visible from the house, which they immediately saw as a
sign that this was their perfect home. The mansion's outdoor features are impressive, including a large
pool, tennis court, chicken coop, rose gardens, and a spacious terrace equipped with a wood-fired
stove and barbecue. Despite their initial reluctance, the couple fell in love with the
property and made the purchase, transforming it into their family home for themselves and their
two children, Archie and Lilibet. Their estate boasts numerous amenities, a library, a shared
office, sauna, gym, games room, arcade, wine cellar, and five-car garage. The original decor included
classic wooden beams and expansive windows that flooded the living spaces with California's
natural light. Since moving in, Meghan and Harry have reportedly made several renovations, although
it's unclear how much of the home's original charm remained. Additionally, the property includes a
tea house and a two-bedroom guest house, giving ample space for visitors. Montecito has become
home to many celebrities, like Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Ellen DeGeneres. For Meghan
and Harry, this mansion is particularly special. It's the first house they ever owned. The one
crew member who got to film at Casa Sussex has shared their experience, describing the estate
as a slice of paradise. Though Meghan and Harry have kept much of their home life private,
Meghan has been slowly sharing more glimpses of their day-to-day life at the mansion. Her newly
restored Instagram account has offered followers peeks into the property, including sweet moments
of her baking in the kitchen with her kids. With Love, Meghan's director Michael Steed addressed
why most of the series wasn't filmed at Meghan's house, explaining the unfamiliarity of the filming
location added authenticity to the show. He said,
For me, imperfection is a wonderful thing. It was fun watching her trying to get used to the kitchen
because it's not her place. So we didn't hide that fact and she's kind of walking and looking
for things. I really wanted to embrace and celebrate all of the mistakes and mess and all
Steed and his colleague both praised Meghan's kindness and generosity as a host,
with Steed describing her as someone who always goes the extra mile for others.
Meghan herself has been open about her decision to limit filming inside her family's home,
explaining she and Harry wanted to preserve the safe haven they created for their kids.
She admitted,
I wanted to protect that safe haven. We're a close-knit family and I love these moments.
Putting Lily down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end
of the day. Our kitchen is where mama just cooks for the family. With a crew of 80 plus people,
that's a lot of people to have in your house. While most of the Netflix series was filmed
elsewhere, it's clear Meghan and Harry's Montecito mansion remains their ultimate sanctuary. A place
where they can truly be themselves. Hey everyone. First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to
my 500,000 subscribers. I absolutely love you all and your support over the years has meant
everything to me. It's kept me going through the loss of Shiro, the economy crashing, and lots of
other ups and downs. Now, I have a little favor to ask. I've created a backup channel for Famous
