I really love what I can do in 20 minutes, honestly.
I really feel confident in what I'm able to do in 20 minutes and just hit my marks and
you know, death by a thousand cuts kind of mentality, honestly.
So like honestly all day I just look forward to the main.
Like I don't like the qualifying, I don't like the heat race, like I just want that
20 minute main.
Let's see who's put the work in and really get out there.
I love it.
I love battling up front.
Like it's sick.
You know, the adrenaline, just the race craft and being up there, you know, like I said
on the podium.
I had FOMO last weekend watching Kenny and Eli up front and I was just like, I know I
can be there.
We just had to make some steps and I think we did and it's just fun.
It's just fun.
Like I said, I look forward to the main all day long.
The first pass, I'm like, okay, I think I'm going to make the stick and I can get away
and sure enough, that didn't happen and Ken came back and then it was tough and once I
got in front of him the second time, got back into a good groove again and thought I was
all good.
Like just watching Ken and kind of marking around the track.
It was an amazing race.
Honestly, I had a lot of fun.
We're going back and forth and ultimately after I got passed by Eli, I just had like
a lap and a half of falling in a terrible rhythm and got passed by Hunter too and then
I didn't want to just back off and get dropped off.
So ultimately had a lot of fun and I'm taking the podium, so I'm really happy with my riding
again, but I just lacked in that like two, 3%, you know, but enough for the podium.
So I'll take it.
I think it just makes it overall more fun, swapping back and forth, you know.
It was tough.
You know, Hunter actually, from last weekend to now, he made a massive step forward and
it was awesome to see that all three of us were kind of like gapping the field again.
And then the last lap, I go over the tunnel and I hear this rev and I look over and I
see a red fender and I'm just like, what in the world is that?
And it was Hunter.
So I'm kind of bummed at myself, like I just wasn't paying attention.
So, and then plus the Lawrence's ride so quiet on the track, you just don't know they're there.
I feel like I was somewhat lucky to hold on to that one.
But hey, I feel really at one with this motorcycle and it's showing.
I mean, of course the clock's ticking, but I've improved myself.
So it's, man, this is a great spot to be in and of course I'm enjoying it.
I keep saying it, but man, it's pretty wild to think this is the double nickel win.
Number 55.
Pretty cool.
