Video Summary
AI GeneratedA professional hard enduro racer and his filmer, Manny, explore the grueling reality of a world-champion lifestyle. The narrative contrasts the glamour of global competition with the exhaustion of constant travel, the emotional toll of being away from family, and the symbiotic creative partnership required to document the raw essence of the sport.
If you chase your dream, never stop believing man, because everything is possible.
Take every moment where you can.
Make the most out of your life.
I was way too long of a travel day.
F**k this s**t.
We go from race to race.
You're spending hours and hours on the airport waiting for a plane,
jumping into a plane, getting a taxi, picking up a rental car.
We're trying to stay awake as long as possible today.
I think we're going to be out there almost 24 hours.
Less than 48 hours ago, I didn't have a flight booked.
The commitment to the episodes is honestly ridiculous.
I am wrecked.
Yeah, I think a filmer and a racer is almost quite pretty similar.
It's a lifestyle, you know, like you're alone on the road.
I think he's even sometimes more on the road than I am.
Right now we're going to go three hours of sleep.
Who needs sleep?
All I'm doing is holding the camera.
Another eight and a half hours flight.
Then we land in Jakarta, we get a four hours layover, another one hour flight, and then a three and a half hours drive.
I'll see you in the US.
Some random guy from Instagram is going to pick me up.
It's just one random guy from Instagram.
We're on the road for 24 hours now, which is crazy.
I hate our life.
It was the worst idea ever.
Honestly.
We never stop.
Never stop the running system, my friend.
You don't race really for that long, but you're like traveling for 18, 30 hours to a race place.
I think it always looks cooler on camera and life looks great.
If you really look behind it sometimes, it's quite hard.
That's hectic, man.
Good to you.
I'll try it.
Hold on.
Almost.
All that for a 30 second shot.
At one point you're just realizing that it's just so f***ing tiring.
We've just got one more edit to finish.
One more day of racing.
I feel damn old.
It's just worth traveling.
Hard to keep the motivation high, but I'm trying my best.
You definitely miss out a lot.
You just want to spend the time with the most important people in your life.
Now I think I just miss out on a lot of things.
Which is pretty crazy, actually.
Pretty emotional today.
I never expected it.
I always did the sport for fun.
I never had this huge goal to be one of the best of the best.
Everybody's trying to take away the crown.
I'm quite surprised that I still have it in some races.
It is the third round of the FM Hot Enduro World Championship this year.
Honestly, I think it's one of the best races they have in the States.
Everybody's stepping it up and trying his best of his best.
You also almost have to step it up and be even better prepared than the other guys.
Definitely, there's a lot of guys who are fired up and there are going to be big battles on both race days.
To come into the States, we definitely race some different contenders.
Especially the main guy over there, Tristan Hart.
He absolutely dominates the sport over in the States.
We normally don't race each other that often.
He's going to definitely perform on a really high level because we're over at his continent.
I think he definitely wanted to show off.
You were good there.
I was just sitting down.
Oh my god, I couldn't sit down.
Me and Manny were together pretty much the whole time.
And I knew once we got to this last rock section, that's kind of where the race came down to last year.
And I just had those really good, I think.
Okay, we definitely have to step it up and don't sleep at all this weekend.
Just like really fully focused on to perform on the highest level.
But in the rocks, in the rock uphills, he was pushing hard.
We got to get up to that top corner.
Where that blue ribbon is up there.
I wonder if you have to get in the trees to get up on that bench or if you side hill.
Good question.
Main race day.
Multi-lap race, we got two hours.
I think it's not going to be easy, to be honest.
I think I'm not the best guy in multi-lap races, honestly.
Even though if the sport is kind of like evolving into this direction.
But I know that I did good there last year.
And I had already a pretty crazy battle with Tristan there.
So I was like, okay, he's going to be really good.
The final race at Silver King's Orlando probably was one of the biggest battles ever.
I think I was eight times probably third and eight times first and eight times second.
Me, Tristan, Mitch Brightmore was riding unbelievably good.
It was so cool to see just like an upcoming rider, you know, like stepping it up.
Mitch is now in the lead.
F***ing crazy race.
Don't know how, don't know when, don't know why, but he's absolutely ripping.
I could see them like right before the finish.
Mitch was so good in the hills and really fair play and congrats to him.
He won the race at the end.
Next one.
He's going to be the next one, you know, he's going to be there at the top.
Lovely.
I was riding so good.
Feels good to win as well.
It sucks, you know, if you race for two hours and you work your ass off and then you get beaten.
Congrats.
F***ing sleepwashed today.
That was out of control.
What do you reckon?
Where did we fail?
We've been so long just on the top and you could see him just riding in him.
And with his performance today, he definitely stepped it into the big boys.
You're like questioning yourself.
Okay, do I have to train more?
What I can improve?
Like, do we have to test?
Like, can we improve the bike?
Or, you know, like you almost want to go back and just do your work and like go back to training.
Oh my God.
That feels good.
My first win at a World Championship.
What can I say?
Yeah.
After the finish, I was actually pretty stoked and excited to go home, honestly.
I also have to go back to work.
So if we go to the next one, we're prepared.
So we had something planned with Red Bull for the next two days after the race.
That fell through.
We'd already booked the flights.
And I could honestly tell that in Manny's mood, he wasn't so keen to spend another two days in America.
The running system never stops, you know, like for both of the sides.
And it's completely different professions.
But on the other side, we're kind of living the same thing.
And I think that's why we understand each other so good.
And I know what he goes through, but also he definitely knows what I go through at the races.
There's no other motivation.
You've just done a race.
You could easily be chilling right now.
Motivation is low as f**k.
All for you guys.
Honestly, it's all for you.
Why not just shoot some s**t, have a good time, and the episode's going to look sick.
Oh my God.
We got such a good thing.
I'm so stoked.
And here's like a baseball bat, a ******* glove, a baseball.
Oh, no way.
Let's go.
All right, boys, have fun.
Welcome to America.
We went on like an all-American road trip.
It was insane.
America!
Howdy.
Welcome to America, guys.
Gentlemen, welcome.
Oh!
Luckily, he's a good pullman.
I didn't embarrass myself in front of anyone.
We're going jet boating today, like up the river or down the river.
I don't ******* know, but it will be a fun day.
So me and Manny first started working together a couple of years ago.
I worked on a lot of like long-form documentaries for Red Bull KTM with him,
and we just worked together so good.
We looked into this Vibes Are High series,
and we just wanted to create something which is standing out
and is not only going to be a race vlog,
because I think that's not me.
This is not what I want to show, like, the audience.
So we're going to sleep here one night.
Hopefully nobody's going to kill us, and we're going to hang on this wall.
Me and Manny have pretty much travelled the world together at this point.
You have no choice but to get to know each other pretty good.
Yeah, I think if we wouldn't be that close,
I think we wouldn't have showed it on camera.
I was going to do belly flop where you just...
But you're not. It hurts on my chest.
Where are we?
America.
America!
You work your ass off to perform all year.
You definitely want to enjoy it a little bit.
The America trip overall obviously had its lows,
but we ended on such a high.
And we pretty much kept that high going.
We travelled all the way to the other side of the planet, to Indonesia.
And the whole vibe was so different, man.
It is a hard enduro. It's a three-day event.
We got, like, a city prologue,
a long hard enduro race through the jungle,
and kind of like an enduro race and a hill climb race.
Honestly, this year was crazy.
Come on!
They're not scared.
It was the best racing ever.
We were there because they invited just a handful of international riders.
It's not part of a championship, so there's no pressure whatsoever.
You can also feel that the vibe is different
and that the riders are almost vibing with each other
way more than in other races.
Look at this, boys! Proper hard enduro!
We're just riding.
It's kind of fun just chilling.
I was just trying to get to that one.
Nah, get the next one.
That was sick!
I think it's a really cool experience
where a lot of people can't say that they raced through a jungle.
I didn't expect that, guys!
I felt like a superhero, honestly.
You just want to build up your brand and build up your name,
and you just have to almost go globally for this.
There were, like, so many Latvian fans out there, which was insane.
Latvia!
The best hard enduro in the world!
Latvia!
It's hard to enjoy a race.
Latvia!
It's wild! Like, everybody loves it.
People just love the sport,
and something that you don't see that often.
I think that's it. Kisselatan over.
It's now dark. It's not meant to be dark.
We've got an eight-hour drive ahead of us,
so I need to pack my sh** down quick-time.
We need to get back to the hotel, get our taxi,
drive eight hours to the airport, get a flight to Bali.
We have two nights in Bali.
The day's not over yet, to be honest.
It's only just begun.
Honestly, it was such a mission this year.
Almost an eight-hour drive straight after the race.
Wild, man.
Oh, my God.
We got back to the hotel, had 30 minutes to pack,
to shower, to get ready.
We need to go. Yeah, we definitely need to go.
We jump in an eight-hour taxi drive,
go to the airport, fly out in the morning
to have enough time to, like, get all the content sorted
and, like, all of the things what we wanted to do.
And it was such a big mission, honestly,
just for the episode to show you guys, like,
just some crazy madness.
This was the worst idea ever, honestly.
It's like 3 o'clock in the morning now.
When we arrived in Bali, we were so wrecked,
but we had two days there.
We're technically in paradise, so let's get the camera out,
let's shoot some ----,
and let's make the most out of the two days that we have here.
We're back to Kimo Surf Camp.
We were in paradise,
and, honestly, the motivation came flooding back.
Yo, guys, welcome to the third spot in Bali
at the Kimo Surf Camp in Uluwatu, which is pretty sick.
So if you want to have the best surfing experience,
definitely check it out.
From a beginner to a pro,
you're going to have the best time ever.
You experience, like, a good time as well,
but you also have this in mind that you're like,
okay, let's maybe film something this,
or maybe we could do a bit of ads for the surf camp as well.
They got an own pool, super big master bedroom,
which is quite sick.
I think this is the coolest spot
because you just wake up in the morning and do this.
Proper model life today, mate.
Sun Hunters, mate.
Goes hard.
We use every little moment to shoot some cool ----,
like photos on glass brand Sun Hunters.
We just did a proper shoot for Sun Hunters,
which is pretty sick.
We got this legend with us, which is quite nice.
I tried to catch a wave.
He's definitely going to catch a wave.
Just for the shoot, mate.
I'm definitely going to get pretty wet.
Yeah, boy.
How is it, bud?
Lovely, man.
Time flies by.
It's like, it has been 40 hours,
and now we got another 20 minutes
before we're going to go home again
and jump into a 26-hour travel.
And we're sitting in this crazy unique place,
and yeah, I think it's quite sick, honestly.
To be making these episodes with Manny,
he's the absolute best at what he does.
It's such a pinch-me moment.
I think the beauty of just doing these episodes
with just me and Manny,
it keeps them so raw, so authentic.
I think that that comes across when you watch these episodes.
I hope it does anyway.
There is so much work behind it.
Honestly, from planning, booking flights,
trying to sort footage out.
He honestly makes such a big plan
on how the app is structured,
what we can film.
I'm sometimes directing some things,
what we could maybe change a little bit.
There's so many cool topics out there in life,
what you want to show and what you want to capture,
and I think we did a pretty good job so far.
It's a long, hard journey.
I'm going to find this random bloke from Instagram now.
We all really help each other out in this world.
This sport is so difficult to shoot.
They help me out with lifts,
they help me out with locations,
we share footage occasionally.
Without them, it would be really tough
to put these episodes together.
Got another chariot.
Came in a little late,
and we'll get you where you need to go.
That was gnarly, that ride up.
Both of us had backpacks on.
I was clinging on with my knees.
I had my feet hooked under the foot pegs
to stay on because it was so steep.
Look at that, we made it.
The location is so sick,
that's why I wanted to have you out there, you know?
Young Armani would think about the last month
that you are f***ing crazy.
Why are you doing things like this to yourself?
But also on the other side,
you're such a mad dog, man.
I think a lot of people think
that I just ride my motorbike,
but honestly, I feel tired.
I miss these two girls.
It's hard to be away so much.
You know, there's a lot of sacrifices, honestly.
I miss my family a lot.
This is actually a huge part about it now,
I think, since I'm a dad.
Because she grew up, I know it.
You facetime with her,
and you see this cool little fella
just laughing into your face.
And you don't want to miss these moments.
You learn a lot that, for sure,
racing is one of the most important things.
It's a business side,
but then life is even way more important.
100% is worth it at the end.
Man, you meet so many cool people.
You experience so much cool moments
in races, after races,
like traveling the world.
Sorry.
This is what I have to deal with all the time.
You don't know how long it goes on, you know?
You just almost want to take every moment
because it can stop any time.
You're the best taxi driver, man.
Yes, sir!
He's my idol.
You meet so many cool people while racing.
I think, without this sport,
you would never meet people like this.
Germany.
We do a lot of video stuff,
and it's hard to be on camera.
It's so natural.
Yeah, you're a badass, you're a champion.
Your world champion, ladies and gentlemen.
I reckon this is a pretty cool experience, guys,
to do races abroad and come to these unique places.
I definitely worked hard to be in this position
and also to be in this position
to enjoy some moments, you know?
Because you're for sure racing all year
and you do so much for the sport,
and I think I did so much over the last couple of years
to really build something up.
I think that's pretty good, man.
Moments like this that make it all worth it again.
If you chase your dream, never stop believing, man,
because everything is possible.
Look at me.
It was never my big dream to become a professional athlete,
and now we're sitting here a couple of years later.
Won almost every race.
Take every moment while you can.
If you have the opportunity to go traveling,
if you have the opportunity to jump out of an airplane,
never say no, man,
because I think you will regret it afterwards
and make the most out of your life.
Don't be lazy.
Kick yourself and just go hard.
So excited where my career takes me next.
I think the next couple of years
has a lot of things to offer,
and I'm quite curious in which direction it goes.
I hope I can keep on doing what I'm doing
because I absolutely love it also.
In a way, even though it's tiring,
but I'm even excited also
to see what the next, next step is,
maybe after my career.
