It's late. We're in Krakow. Welcome to
Poland.
>> Thank you.
>> We're going to go find our apartment and
catch up with this later.
>> Where do we go? [singing]
Where do we go from here?
>> We just got the Krakco last night. This
is a highly rated little cafe around the
corner. We got pork, potatoes, rice, and
the soup.
>> It's delicious. This has It's like dough
soup.
>> Great start
>> to a week in Poland. Enjoy Poland, you
two.
>> This is our first couple of hours in
Graal. Gorgeous apartment. Good job,
Kate. Finding us apartment. A block and
a half from the train station, which is
also a giant mall. Great local food
already. That place was incredible.
>> Oh, yeah. Now I need a nap. It was so
heavy. But it
>> was That was a full meal. Got that park.
>> Oh, wow. That's huge.
>> More to follow.
>> Pretty much everybody says how beautiful
Krakow is and they wish they had spent
more time. We just got here and we can
already see what they mean. This city is
just gorgeous.
[music] And Katie found us a market.
Much like we're a custom food. This has
absolutely everything. Pay cheese and
sausage and other smoked meats. Lot of
cheeses.
>> That is the place. Just a short walk
from the Vorsy statue.
Beautiful parks right in the middle of
the city. This city is just gorgeous.
We've just been walking around for a
couple hours. This probably even beats
Sophia, Bulgaria, as just a beautiful,
livable city.
>> Yeah,
>> this is really nice. I can see why
people keep coming back here and say
they wish they would have spent more
time. I'm glad that we uh have a full
week here.
>> Me, too.
>> It's going to be sunny and 60 the whole
time. Yeah, it'd be nice if it was
warmer, but it's not cold. So,
>> no, it's not.
We scoured YouTube and Google reviews
for a recommendation on a great cafe
here in Oldtown and Cafe Bar Mahio was
consistently towards the top. We were
not disappointed.
>> Never a bad time for coffee and warm
apple pie with ice cream.
>> That's what she said. Oh my god. What am
I saying?
If I'm not careful, this has become this
is going to rapidly become my favorite
place we've been. And that's a bold
statement.
>> We saw this on Instagram. Is isa is the
Instagram lady that's apparently very
popular here. She said that we have to
try these when we come to Poland. So, we
are trying
>> Zapiaanka
Graa because you know we're in Krakco.
>> Your very first Sapia Kanka. M. That is
delicious. The pickles are dilled with
the crunchiness of the onion and the
creaminess of the sauce and the bread is
crunchy. These are really good.
>> Street food success. There's just a
non-stop amount of people going to this
bakery. They're not like locals, I don't
think. I don't know. But yeah, we had to
get something. Bakery time.
It was so delicious. We inhaled it
without filming. So, you'll just have to
try one for yourself. And since I have
no idea how to pronounce what we got,
just order anything and I'm sure you'll
be happy. You won't find this hard to
believe, but we are actually on our way
back to get dinner. So, wish us luck.
>> Have fun storming the castle.
>> We found this little Well, we Katie
found this little Italian place
basically right across the street from
our apartment.
>> I have to try the bolognese everywhere.
I don't know what it is. I'm on a
bolognese kit.
>> If the bread and sauce is any
indication, this place is top tier.
>> That is delicious. I give it a nine out
of 10.
>> And I got the lasagna. Then we're just
going to go explore more of this awesome
place. I'm so glad we spent a week here.
I I'm very happy here.
>> Me, too.
>> That food was incredible. That place is
a solid nine. And I think it's the best
Italian food I've had since we've been
back in Europe.
>> Yes, absolutely.
>> And it came to less than $20 total.
>> And it was a nice place.
>> Yet another reason, loving Krakow.
It is mid to late October and I don't
think we can get any luck here with the
weather. It's just over 60°. Sunny and
beautiful. Hardly a cloud in the sky.
This has been absolutely wonderful.
Really pushing it, catching it at the
end of the season here. Man, we've
gotten lucky. This city, [music] I've
said it 7,500 times. This thing is
beautiful.
>> Yeah,
>> it is all pluses so far. And they got
this gorgeous river we can follow along.
Well, we [music] are definitely going to
have to come back to this place. Little
market full of food trucks. Be there
shortly.
>> [music]
>> We love coffee and coffee loves us. And
here at Coffee Garden, they even have
good Wi-Fi and comfy chairs. Coffee
Garden was lovely. What' you think?
>> That was nice. It was nice to semi
comfortable. Coffee was good.
Oh my goodness, this church is stunning.
[music]
[music]
>> As we can tell by reading, this church
has been here in some form or the other
since 1405. [music]
It's definitely had a lot of renovations
and stuff added on.
God, is that beautiful.
>> Yeah, the ornateness of it is
incredible. I told you we'd be back.
Man, if you could smell the way this
place smells.
Holy cow. Let's see what we can find.
Sparkling [music] lemon soda. Sparkling
lemonade. Katie, your first perogi in
Poland
at the street market.
>> Potato with a little bit of bacon and
onion. That's really good. I probably
should have had it with a little bit of
butter on it. And a different version of
the zapia kanka that we got yesterday.
Pardon for the pronunciation. They got
cranberry sauce on this one. This is the
gorski something. [music]
>> So, how is it?
>> So, that is fantastic. There's sausage,
two different kinds of cheese,
mushrooms, onions, and then the
cranberry sauce over the top of it.
Mushrooms kind of like a mushroom gravy.
Bread is really toasty. Cheese is
toasted on top. I really like the one
yesterday. This is way better than the
one yesterday. Okay, time to eat.
[cheering]
Oh yeah.
>> Just an average walk [music] around
Krokow. Have we mentioned this place is
pretty amazing? I
>> think we mentioned that already.
>> No.
>> I better mention it again.
>> All right, fellas. That's it for today.
>> Yet another beautiful day in Krakow. A
couple years ago in Kosamui, we met a
lady from Kkow. So, she's going to take
us out with her family and show us a
local experience.
>> I love meeting people from all over the
world. We get such so many great
experiences.
>> Definitely the high [music] point of
this entire U Rail journey. We are about
30 minutes outside the [music] city at
this place that specializes in fish. It
is gorgeous out here. The leaves are
turning, [music] falls setting, but it's
still lovely. About 60°.
These are these are our host.
Check this place out. Oh my god, it
smells good. Check out that feast.
>> Yummy.
>> Thank you, Kinga.
>> You're welcome. It's not typical Polish
food, but still Oh, looks amazing.
>> It looks awesome. The fish was delish.
Dinner was wonderful. And they got this
little pond here. You can catch your own
and they'll cook it for you, or you can
just order it. They'll cook that for
you, too. I don't see no fishies. Hey,
Katie, follow.
>> Are you guys going to go fishing?
>> No.
>> You want to fish?
>> Uh, no. I don't fish.
>> Now it's time for cakes. This place is
snazzy. We came here earlier and there
was like a 30-minute wait just to get a
uh pastry. So, we came back. It's worth
the wait.
This is amazing. I think we're going to
go with the strategy of getting two of
everything.
>> Can I get a little piece of that cake?
Absolutely amazing time [music] with Ka
and her family. Thank you again. Local
experiences, meeting up with friends are
what makes this trip just epic. We're
back home. We're going to go to bed.
>> Last night I ate the best cake of my
life.
>> And pastries.
>> Another absolutely gorgeous day in
Krakow. Weather's been perfect. Trains
are a little loud. We've really noticed
that whenever you go to cross the
street, the cars pretty much slam on
their brakes. uh for pedestrians. Our
friend told us they've always had good
traffic laws, but they've recently
[music] introduced much more stringent
fines. So, uh [music] it's great. Well,
you just walk next to road, all the cars
stop.
>> Yeah. And sometimes it's like, but I'm
not even close to being there yet. And
then you have to hurry up and get
across.
>> We're on our way to a milk bar. It's a
great place to get traditional Polish
food. Kind of what Kate would call a
pick and point place,
>> which by the way is the real San
Francisco treat. This one is one of the
more highly rated ones.
>> Yes. And uh these were well known in the
1970s here.
>> That's when we were born. So, hey, it's
it's right up our alley.
>> Interesting finding the entrances at
times.
This place is adorable.
Starting with some amazing chicken soup
and of course perogi. These are the
classic Russian style perogi. Very
typical Polish food.
Wow.
>> Creamy, rich. It's balanced between the
onions and the mashed potatoes.
>> Main dishes here. Potatoes and I think
Katie got pork.
>> Meatloaf.
>> Meatloaf.
[music]
And I got the turkey fillet.
This
>> is delicious. I don't know how to
pronounce it, but on the map.
>> I like mine better, but that one's
really good. And everybody that one.
>> If you're only going to check out one
milk bar on Crackout, make it this one.
It's fantastic.
>> It was so good and so much fun.
>> Yeah, there's all sorts of eclectic
memory and stuff in there.
>> Yeah. the order at the front and then he
he knows we don't speak Polish so he
would wave at us but speak Polish to
everybody else so it was nice
another thing absolutely loving here is
it's very respectful like everybody puts
their own dishes away and cleans their
tables up and just loving it all right
off the look for something delicious
>> I don't know how Polish they are but
we're in a market in Poland so they must
be Polish and they're delicious These
are fantastic. I'm so glad we saw a line
and just got in it.
>> We spent the rest of the afternoon, well
into the evening, exploring more of this
gorgeous city. Tomorrow, we're off to do
something that Katie's wanted to do
since she was a little kid. Join us next
week to see what it is.
>> Keep drinking this coffee.
>> The thumbs up and subscribe. Oh,
>> no. That was good.
>> That was good. That was good.
