📌 My 4th New Year’s Eve in the Fairytale Forest Cabin | Rainy & Cozy Off-Grid Living

This house celebrated its fourth New Year’s Eve tonight, tucked away in my little forest fairytale.

I spent the evening lost in work, crafting a new version of a miniature house I first built years ago. At first, I imagined turning it into a chandelier, but as my hands worked the wood, the idea shifted. For now, the miniature stands alone, waiting for its perfect spot in the cabin.

With a few fallen pine branches, I put together a simple, natural tree, resting it where I once used to smoke meat. It felt right. Outside, the rain tapped steadily against the walls, the forest smelled of damp earth and pine, and with my dogs by my side, the world finally seemed to slow down.

There was pizza bubbling in the fireplace oven and a deep peace in the air. We didn’t get snow for the countdown this year, but I can feel it coming—it’s only a few days away now. Soon, we’ll be properly greeting the new year under a blanket of white.
