The Lake Has Started to Recede! | Lake Cabin Series Episode 7 | Rainy Night
Welcome back to the Lake Cabin Off-Grid Living Series! 🌲
In this episode, the lake has started to recede dramatically and I decided to make the most of this change. Today, I repaired my paddle and went across the windy lake to gather reeds. Odin followed me — and what fascinates me is how he swims in complete silence, almost like a crocodile 🐕🦺🌊.
After collecting the reeds, I covered the outdoor kitchen I’ve been building for off-grid cooking. Since the water has dropped so much, I went down to the exposed lakebed and started preparing a simple fishing trap. Hopefully, the water won’t keep dropping in the coming weeks. The water issue this year is worrying, and I hope it won’t continue to get worse in the future.
On the brighter side, I made myself a fresh filter coffee in a coconut in the morning ☕🥥 — it was delicious! In the evening, I roasted corn over the open fire 🌽🔥. Later, I placed cushions on the raft, read a book, and finished the day with some quiet meditation against the wind.
