Well, hello there and welcome back to my channel.
The seasons are shifting and change is in the air.
After an active and energetic summer, I'm ready to slow down.
My garden adventure is over and the vegetables have been harvested.
I have made several delicious dinners with my harvest and I'm so proud of my achievements.
Especially because I thought I wasn't going to successfully grow anything this year.
Autumn just feels different.
I feel more relaxed and more at peace.
I feel like I can just settle down and breathe.
Summer can be overwhelming because it's the time to get stuff done.
Things you can't do during the winter months because the land is covered by snow.
So this change of season means a lot to me.
It's the time to slow down.
Well, hello there and welcome back to another video.
I hope you're all doing well.
It's officially autumn.
The cozy times have arrived for sure and I'm very excited about that.
The weather is getting colder and it's time for me to get out my winter clothing and everything
out of storage.
I always switch around.
I always keep my summer clothing in the closet during summer and then I put my winter stuff
up in the attic to save some space because it's a very small house.
I don't have a lot of space.
I only have one closet where I can put all of my clothing in.
I do like, I do definitely have way too many clothing.
So I've been sick for three weeks.
I've had bronchitis.
So if my voice on the voiceover or right now sounds a little bit off, it's because of the
bronchitis.
But it is what it is.
So switching out my clothing is quite a task.
It takes me a lot of hours.
Everything has to be neatly folded and I have to give everything it's spot.
And like I said, I have too many clothes, too many.
Trees are turning yellow, orange and red.
They call it the festival of colors where I live.
The trees are amazing, like the colors, insane.
I've never in my life since I moved here, when I moved here, I never saw colors like
that.
And yeah, there were pretty colors, but here it's just mountains full of different colors.
And we don't have mountains in the Netherlands.
So it was quite a difference.
Anyway, enough talking.
Let's get started.
So as you can see, it is a mess.
So that's a keep.
That one, because it's obviously, it's warm for the winter.
Shorts.
That's a no.
I don't wear this in minus 30 degrees Celsius.
No, this goes to the attic.
All my beautiful, beautiful, all my beautiful sweaters are in this box down here.
I love them so much.
I'm just going to show you a few of my sweaters.
In this one, I store all my Nordic style, Estonia, Norway, kind of sweaters.
I love them so, so, so much.
And they're so warm because it's all wool.
So I have this beautiful one, and it's so, and it's so warm.
I like, honestly, if you live in a cold climate and you don't have one of these, get them.
They're so warm.
Then I have this one, also very pretty.
Obviously like a Christmas kind of sweater, right?
Very pretty, very pretty.
I have this one.
Love it, love it.
Has deers on it.
It's probably my favorite because it's so darn pretty.
On the back, it has some trees.
Love it.
Absolutely love it.
Then I have this one, which was given to my husband by a friend, whose grandmother made
it.
Very pretty as well.
So I have this one.
You've seen me wear this one in a previous video from winter.
Very comfy, very warm.
Then I have this sweater.
Very comfy as well.
I love it.
It's the softest one.
Very comfy.
They're all secondhand, by the way.
I buy them all from Etsy, Etsy.com.
I just type in Nordic cardigan and then they all pop up and you have some.
There's some for $60 Canadian dollars, some for $40, some for $90, some for $200, but
the ones I have are all around, I'd say $30, $40, not too much.
Brand new, they would cost so much.
Because they're all, pretty much all handmade.
This one is definitely handmade, it has no label or anything.
So Etsy.com.
Not sponsored, but Etsy.
That's where you find all the beautiful vintage, cheaper clothing.
At least that's where I find my clothing.
This one I really love.
Call me a granny, but I love the old vintage fests.
This one is vintage as well.
Now I have the second box.
Let's see what goodies are in here.
Ooh, okay.
My snow pants.
We need that, definitely.
Very soft, very warm, very pretty.
That was quite something, it's several hours later, but it's all done now.
Winter is coming and it's coming soon.
We often already have snow near the end of October.
So besides slowing down, we do have to make sure that the wood is ready and properly stored
for the cold winter months that are yet to come.
I normally would not do this in a dress, but I didn't feel like changing.
I have a little bird feeder over there.
I'm just going to move it because it's so far from the house.
When there's a lot of snow, it's really hard to reach here.
Snow gets this high, snow gets this high.
I'm going to put it a bit closer to the house so it's easier to reach and easier to feed
the birds.
There it is.
I was thinking maybe this tree, or maybe here, like on one of these branches, because they
do hang out here a lot.
They seem to be hungry.
Let me get them some food.
There you go.
Hi.
Oh, don't get scared.
Sometimes he just lands on my finger, like this, like this.
Let me give you some lovely food.
There you go.
Don't mess with my friend.
I think my poor cat wants to go outside as well.
What is it, my darling?
Do you not want to go outside?
Lucy.
Oh, you're going?
Are you daring?
I think he's scared of the leaves, because there are leaves blowing and there's wind.
He doesn't really like wind.
Oh, he's going.
Lucy.
You look so handsome.
Oh, oh, before I forget.
The little bird house.
Where should I put this?
Come here, darling.
Bye, friend.
All right, let's plop this.
Let's plop this, plop this, plop this.
Ah, he's done it.
There you go.
Success.
Sometimes you lose and sometimes it calls you right in.
Come to my table.
Come to my bed.
Go easy on my heart.
Easy my head.
Bringing me fire.
Bringing me water.
Taking me high.
Taking me.
I am currently working on a new shawl.
Maybe you saw a bit of it already.
To wrap around.
You know, like one of those...
Did you see...
If you watched Outlander
and sometimes you see the women
with a shawl
around them.
That's what I'm making right now.
It's like a shawl you wrap around yourself
and you tie it in the back.
It's very cute.
I love it so much.
I already have one that I made,
but I'm working on a red one.
It's like a burgundy
wine red.
This is the one I've already finished.
It's pretty big.
You have to make it really big
or it doesn't wrap around your back.
This one is really big.
I've already finished that one.
It took me a long time.
So I have a lot left to do on the other one.
But we'll get there before winter.
You just wrap it around you
and it's nice and cozy
on cold winter and fall days.
I just wanted a quick little chat
before I end the video.
Thank you for all the new subscribers.
It means the world to me.
Thank you so much for the comments
on my last video.
It's just... I don't know.
It's hard to explain.
It's a really great feeling.
I really do put a lot of work in my videos.
I know I don't have
the best quality.
Sadly.
I don't have a proper camera.
I have an old camera
that I use and my phone.
But I'm saving up for a new camera.
I also wanted to say that I'm now
one year cancer free.
So that is quite an achievement.
I'm very happy to
talk about that.
I think I'm going to make a
video just for that.
I think for me
when I was a cancer patient
for me those one year videos
were pretty important because it would show me
how would I kind of be feeling.
Would I still have side effects?
How would my hair be doing?
Stuff like that.
So I will make a one year cancer free video.
I'm just very happy.
One year cancer free.
It is amazing.
I just wanted to share that because
it's a huge milestone for me.
It is huge.
I was always so scared
that I would already relapse
before the one year mark.
But I reached the one year mark.
And now we're going to go for two.
And then we're going to go for three, hopefully.
So thank you so much for watching.
I truly appreciate you being here.
Please subscribe because it would
really help my channel out.
It would help me so much.
Take care of yourself.
I'll see you in my next video.
Bye!
