Russia continues to suffer heavy losses in its nearly four-year war of invasion in Ukraine. Video footage released in social media shows a Russian soldier looking for the dead body of his fellow soldier on a snowy road. The corpse of the Russian soldier was later found and placed in a black plastic bag. The video illustrates the dire condition of Russian soldiers who are used as cannon fodders in the frontline. According to the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces, over one million Russian soldiers have been destroyed – killed or wounded - since the start of Russia’s full-fledged invasion in February 2022. Another video footage shared in social media shows a column of destroyed Russian military vehicles on the frontline. Among the destroyed vehicles is an armoured fighting vehicle, and a military vehicle that have become inoperable due to Ukrainian strikes. The Russian soldier capturing the video described the smell of burnt flesh and said he saw someone’s skull torn to pieces and brain spilling out. It should be noted that since the start of the war in Ukraine, Russia has lost 11,400 tanks, 23,800 armored fighting vehicles 35,500 artillery systems, 1,580 multiple launch rocket systems, MLRS, 1,260 air defense systems, 430 aircraft, 347 helicopters, 96,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, operational-tactical UAVs, 4,100 cruise missiles, 28 ships and boats, two submarines, 71,700 motor vehicles and fuel tankers and 4,000 special military equipment, according to information provided by the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
