The Tacuri House is a peaceful retreat nestled in the lush Tucuri area of Nayón, Quito, overlooking the beautiful Cumbayá Valley. Surrounded by a rich microclimate filled with native carob trees, birds, and natural sounds, this home is designed to truly embrace life among the trees.

Large windows and glass panels flood the interiors with natural light while framing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, blurring the line between indoors and outdoors. The house is thoughtfully organized around a central courtyard, with three volumes that balance social spaces, private family areas, and a quiet study.

Inspired by nature, concrete slabs float like foliage, metal columns echo tree trunks, and warm wood finishes create comfort while helping regulate temperature. Every architectural detail respects the land’s natural topography and preserves the existing trees.

More than just a house, the Tacuri House is a serene sanctuary where architecture and nature come together in perfect harmony. 🌿🏡
