Hi guys! Today on Divas Can Cook, we are taking a whole bunch of ripe bananas
and we are making the best vegan banana bread ever. Like y'all, this might just be my new
favorite. Banana bread is easy, simple ingredients, and no one can tell that it's vegan. For real.
Y'all ready? Let's go. All right, first step, I got me a big old bowl right here. I'm going to
add in some all-purpose flour. Dump that on in. Next, I got me some cinnamon, some baking powder,
baking soda, a little bit of salt. We're going to whisk this all around. And I love that this
recipe is one bowl and I do not have to break out my mixer. I love my mixer, but sometimes,
goodness, Lord, like I don't feel like hitting all that hoot and hollering from that doggone
mixer. So this right here, I can make it in the morning time and not wake anybody up, you know?
Okay, so next I'm going to add in my sugar. I have some brown sugar and some granulated sugar.
Dump that in there. Get all of that whisked in, just like this right here. Okay, so now I'm going
to make a little well, a little hole in the middle of this flour mixture like that, okay?
And in that little well, we're going to add in some vegan butter. I would put the brands that
I use on my website, okay? Next, I'm going to add in some canola oil. Dump that right in there.
And next, I'm going to add in a little bit of almond milk. I love using the original almond
milk for this recipe. So good. Okay, there's some vanilla extract going in. Next, we're just going
to mix this all together. Now, this is a quick bread, so you don't want to mix it up too much.
It's okay if it has little lumps in there, but once everything is all mixed in, it's looking all
good like this right here. You are good, so go. Okay, that looks perfect, Shawn. Okay, so I'm
going to go ahead and just set this aside, done with that little bowl for now. And now I have
some banana. So I guess this is kind of like not really a one bowl recipe, but it could be. It
could be. Okay, I'm going to mash up my bananas just like this. I like this part. This is fun.
You want it to be nice and creamy with this texture right here. That's the best texture.
Yep, that looks good. Okay, so once you get it like that, go ahead and just add those bananas
right into your batter. And on my blog, you guys, I have all kind of little different mix-ins you
can add into this bread if you wanted to, you know, check that out. Okay, that looks good. We are so
done with this banana bread. Wasn't that easy? So easy. I love this recipe, and it tastes so good.
Like we devoured this bread in my house. I had to make two loaves in one day. That's how good it was.
Okay, so I went ahead and put it in my prepared pan that I had greased and floured. Dump it all
in there. And once you get it all in your pan, give it a little shake and a jiggle, you know,
just to get everything nice and level. Bake it at 325 for about an hour, 5 to 10 minutes when it
comes out. Let it cool off on the cooling rack for just a little bit, and then we're going to brush
it with some melted butter. This is optional, okay? This is optional, but I brushed it with
some melted vegan butter because it just, oh, it makes it better. Once that butter absorbs,
go ahead and flip it out that pan. And now we're going to let it cool off a little bit,
and then you are ready to slice it up. I love warm banana bread, so I like slice it up really,
really quick. All right, there it is. It just sliced like a dream. And you guys, this bread
just gets better and better the next day. So it's perfect bread. If you want to ship some bread to
your vegan friends, this is the recipe. And look at that. That top crust has that little crunchiness,
but it's still kind of sticky. I like when it's like kind of crunchy, but it's still kind of
sticky. And look how moist it is. Mm-hmm. Back of the fork test. It just checks all the boxes.
I love this banana bread. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Don't forget to subscribe,
