This cake delights from the very first bite: delicate quark, sweet orange cream and a thin, crispy crust create the perfect combination of textures and flavors. Easy to prepare, ideal for family coffee or festive occasions. The aroma of oranges fills the kitchen, and each piece melts in the mouth, leaving a pleasant citrus freshness and a light sweetness.
Best served slightly cooled, sprinkled with icing sugar or enjoyed with a spoonful of whipped cream – a true dessert delight. This recipe is simple yet impressive – a true feast full of flavor and sunny vibes!

Recipe:
500-550 g wheat flour (4 cups).
2 tablespoons of sugar (2 tablespoons).
20 g fresh yeast (1 oz).
250 ml warm milk (1 cup).
1 egg + 1 egg yolk.
80 g butter (2 4/5 ounces).
5-6 g salt (1/2 teaspoon).
For the filling:
orange peel
juice from 2 oranges.
2 eggs
100g sugar (approx. 1/2 cup)
1 teaspoon starch (1 teaspoon)
50g butter (1 1/2 oz)

250g quark (1 glass)
2 tablespoons sugar (2 tablespoons)
10g vanilla sugar (2 teaspoons)
3 tablespoons semolina (3 tablespoons).

Knead the dough and let it rest for 60 minutes.
Shape the rolls as shown in the video. Brush with the egg-milk mixture.
Bake at 180 °C (356 °F) for 35–40 minutes.
