try to keep chipping away chipping away chipping away and just see where that places me on the [Music] [Applause] leaderboard what's up guys it's Wednesday day before the tournament I'm out here at batau Creek getting a little bit of a practice session in I've played this golf course maybe five times last year so I'm pretty comfortable pretty familiar with it so I figur I'd Trek on up here practice work it out work out the Kinks from yesterday and uh try to be as prepared as I can for tomorrow looking forward to it this is the start of the batau creek vlog [Music] [Music] what's up guys round one is in the books and I have no choice but to laugh at today's round that was the attitude I had all day I unfortunately got off to just an awful start my head was a bit foggy I don't know what happened I was five over through five holes and it was just like in a blink and I hit every Fairway in that stretch narrowly missed a few greens but I had a three putt double Bogey and three other lip out par putts so all of a sudden I was five over through five holes I tried to just kind of plot around and make my way back because it was playing so easy this was the easiest scoring conditions I think I've played in all summer and I played awful I turned at four over I got up to seven as high as seven over but I made two birdies in my last three to shoot 5 over 77 and this is an indication of just how easy it was the guys in my group shot 8 under and 6 under and there was a 10 under another 6 under a bunch of four and five unders like it wasn't playing hard at all and I unfortunately just messed up I'm not discouraged I'm not beat up at it it really sucks there's still two rounds left and that's kind of what I kept telling myself I just need to keep kind of plotting away and find some good form from the practice that I've done in the last couple days and I did I found some really good form it some really high quality shots today I just struggle on the greens to get my all starting online and I burnt about eight lips so that really sucked I could have saved this round and maybe shot par but unfortunately I shot five over I'm going to head up uh grab some lunch here in Collingwood grab a coffee do some stats and write some notes about this round and then I'm going to go back to the golf course and practice a little bit more prepare myself to play much better tomorrow so I got my work done at Starbucks and I got a nice little text message that my clubs finally showed up from California the irons were on back order so it took a while but they're finally here if you don't remember I got fit into all of this stuff back in May so I'll link that video or it'll pop up somewhere I made the drive down here skipped practicing the weather was getting bad up there anyways so I'm here now going to grab this stuff but there's also the Adidas Employee Store so I'm going to go have a little bit of fun uh with my favorite company the three stripes baby check it out guys all my fresh new toys look at these beautiful new wedges about damn time my grooves on my old ones were getting pretty worn out so these ones are going to be great tomorrow and these are my uh 750s don't know if I'm going to put them into play tomorrow I might I mean I played bad enough today that really what's there to lose nice new uh nipin modus 130 shafts this is going to be a pretty fun time putting these into play getting tighter start lines on these bad boys but look at them they're just a thing of beauty and here's the M2 tour 3-wood I'll be rocking look at that little fella so nice Creo cage shaft this B boy is going to be a rocket launcher so that's basically a little tease at what's in my bag be prepared for a full what's in the bag Vlog coming up very very soon I was waiting to do this until I got all my new clubs this year take you through all the specs of my clubs but also show some of the other things that are in my golf bag good luck charms and all that stuff how I mark my ball all that cool stuff so that was your little tease but stay tuned for more in a future Vlog what's up guys round two in the books rocked the all black today the old Johnny Cash Gary Player Men In Black played pretty well it was around of what could have been if there wasn't just the stupid short game mess ups that I made I made four really careless short game mistakes one being about a two-footer on the 17th hole but I talked myself into missing the Putt and lo and behold I missed the putt I birdied the 18th hole to shoot one under par conditions are much harder today the wind was swirling so I'm going to climb the leaderboard a little bit but obviously I'm nowhere near the leaders but hopefully I can just keep trending in the right direction it was really good to play well today the new clubs were great really really like them I'm excited to get another day practice with them this afternoon and then play with them again tomorrow pretty happy with my play today I missed one Fairway I just struck the ball well and just unfortunately struggled a little bit with my short game just misjudging the release and then that stupid putt oh my goodness so stupid but that's it I'm really happy about this bounce back to go from 5 over yesterday to at least under par today so now I have tomorrow we're playing the afternoon try to keep chipping away chipping away chipping away get as close to par as I can maybe even under par for the tournament and just see where that places me on the leaderboard and maybe if I can sneak into a a modest tiny payday I'd be very happy after that first round [Music] [Music] [Music] good morning gang got a good little bit of practicing yesterday so I'm feeling feeling a little bit more comfortable with the golf clubs playing the afternoon today was so I've got some time to kill and grab me a coffee do a little bit of work weather doesn't look so great today so it could be a very long day but we're going to have some fun no matter what oh man that was something that was something the wind was blowing a pretty steady 40K all day gusts up to 55 60 it was really tough and I didn't play well struggled to strike it well and whenever I did making putts was really hard and then towards the last about six holes I gave up for lack of a better word I just wanted to get out of there I was pre over at the time and I mean I wasn't going to get paid so I just kind of took on some chances played aggressive it didn't pay off off in certain instances and then on the 18th hole I tried to be really aggressive and I hit a good drive but didn't carry and that was my last golf ball so I ran out of golf balls so I had to post a dnf did not finish I can't let it bother me or anything I got to keep laughing keep smiling I I did it myself I'm completely responsible and hold myself accountable for for everything no blame being being pointed my game hasn't been affected by this just chalk this up to it's in the past let's look forward I'm excited to look forward to what's coming up next week I have a one-day event on Monday and then a two-day event on Tuesday Wednesday and if this year is any indication I'm going to bounce back very very well because that's kind of what I've been doing good event bad event good event bad event good event bad event this event's over it kind of sucked but hey found a lot of good things and this was the best chance to put my new clubs into play and I really really like them so I'm looking forward to the next stretch of of big events so things are coming things are looking good all
