位於南投縣仁愛鄉的奧萬大國家森林遊樂區，是台灣最知名的賞楓景點之一，有「楓葉故鄉」之稱。園區坐落於萬大溪中游北岸，以壯麗的峽谷地形聞名，海拔約1,100至2,600公尺，佔地約2,787公頃。
園內設有約6公里長的自導式步道，串聯瀑布區、森林公園、人氣最高的楓葉區以及園區最高點的松林區。每年12月至翌年1月，大片楓香林換上紅妝，落葉繽紛，山谷景色如詩如畫。
奧萬大自1994年正式對外開放，四季皆具魅力。除了賞楓與賞景外，也適合森林浴、賞鳥與生態觀察，是熱愛自然旅人的四季秘境。

Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area, located in Ren’ai Township in Nantou County, is one of Taiwan’s most iconic maple-viewing destinations and is often called the “Hometown of Maples.” Known for its dramatic canyon landscape along the midstream of the Wanda River, the park spans about 2,787 hectares at elevations between 1,100 and 2,600 meters.

Aowanda features a 6-kilometer self-guided trail that passes through its major attractions, including the waterfall area, the lush forest park, the popular maple zones, and the high-altitude pine forest. From December to January, vast woodlands of Formosan sweet gum turn brilliant red, filling the valley with a poetic, autumnal glow.

Open to the public since 1994, the recreation area offers cool summers, mild winters, and year-round natural beauty. Beyond maple viewing, visitors can enjoy forest bathing, birdwatching, and ecological exploration, making Aowanda a beloved destination for nature lovers in every season.
