【Classical music and nature 古典音樂小站】Franz Schubert: Schwanengesang (Swan Song), D.957 - 11. The City. This beautiful piece was played by Justin T. Plank - Margaret McDonald. It has common licence (Public Domain Mark 1.0 Universal) and is provided through musopen.org.

Unlike "Die schöne Müllerin" and "Winterreise", Schubert’s "Schwanengesang" is not a song cycle, but a collection of fourteen songs compiled by his publisher, Tobias Haslinger, with the help of the composer’s brother, after Schuberts untimely death in 1828.

Lyrics:
The City
On the distant horizon
Appears, like a misty vision,
The town with its turrets,
Shrouded in dusk.
A damp wind ruffles
The gray stretch of water;
With mournful strokes
The boatman rows my boat.
The sun rises once again,
Radiant, from the earth,
And shows me that place
Where I lost my beloved

The video of the full moon was captured during the moon festival 2024 by Simone Schlegel and edited by Wenjing Ma.
