Small mall opened in 1972 and is very colonial, upscale and quaint. A few shops show life but it suffers greatly. No major anchors , the mall sits in the middle of a strip plaza with restaurants and upscale stores. The tall ceilings and fountain are really nice, though. Can this mall come back?
Hey guys, before I begin my next video,
I want to thank my latest donor, Super

with that being said, enjoy the video.
I'm here at the shops at Worthington
here in Worthington, Ohio. This place
opened in
1972. It looks very
quaint. I think it might
be a mall
that's somewhat dead. I have no idea.
So, let's go walk around and see what we
can find. All right, here's the
entrance.
very
um colonial style around here as you can
see some of the buildings in the
background. Warthington is a very
upscale place. We will
see how this mall does though. Look at
that
logo up there.
This sign shows some
vacancies. Okay. Immediately when you
walk in, you got Panera
Bread and you got this long
hallway. You got tailbits. Oh, this is a
really nice
place. Very
unique
pizzazz. There's not a lot of people
here. I've never seen anything like
this. I see an awesome fountain.
The hallways are kind of narrow,
but it works though. There's very tall
ceilings.
Very nice
fountain. The sun is just coming right
in.
Wow. Heat.
I want to say
it's definitely struggling, but it's
definitely not the worst place. I mean,
definitely there could be more stores,
but I've seen worse. But very unique,
very I've never really seen any place
like this.
This a
fireplace. Play area
closed. Looks like a pretty cool play
area though.
Look at that slide. It's
definitely missing a
platform. Very small place.
Oh, here's our directory.
Not sure if this is up to date, but I
like
this sign right here. Our restrooms are
over
here. And I don't see signs for men and
women. And they're closed anyways.
But I'm sure there's ones open somewhere
else. Let's go outside here for a
second. There's a little area out
here.
Little kid area out here
for playing and
whatnot. That apple core.
This mall is kind of incorporated into
like a big
strip. Not a fancy entrance over
here. Worththington is
upscale yet their mall suffers.
There are some people here,
but I feel
that this place could
be doing
better than it
This look over

here. Nice toy shop.
Whoa. What is this over here?
Taekwondo. Former
Taekwondo. It's a pretty unique dress.
Look at these toys. That's actually
awesome. This is a This is a pretty cool
store. I bet you these
plushies might be handmade.
Here
is another outside
entrance with a
This what would you call this? A
sculpture with the
logo. Nice
area. I think the outside section of
this mall is doing better than the
inside
section. I don't know why the indoor
mall is such
a lost concept these days. Like people
don't really gravitate towards them
anymore. People tend to want to
shop in like outdoor
plazas, but I wish
the indoor mall could come
back cuz that would be nice.

They're saying the restrooms are over
here.
This is a pretty barren hallway
here. I mean, you do have
that and this.
Whoa. What era is that
from? It's like a swing.
Look at the detail on
that. That's
awesome. Oh, there's even more of this
place. It goes
downstairs. I had no idea.
Did they block
access? They blocked access. Look what's
down
here. What were the like these like
empty
storefronts? Because there's no hall. It
just stops. Or did they wall at all? I'm
very confused. Let me know what was down
there if you guys
know. Awesome
skylight. First watch. That's a pretty
good place.
Never heard of Orvis.
There's an entrance. This is a really
nice entrance up here. That clock.
Very nice. All
right, this is the
outside
perimeter of the shops at Warington
10. I've definitely stopped in this area
before. I never went in to these shops.
But whenever I've came to Columbus or
through
Columbus, I've stopped at Worththington
for
gas many a time. This definitely rings a
bell. This kind of reminds me of like
Brexville, Ohio. It's
very upper class, upper
middle class.
Okay, that will complete my tour at the
shops at
Worthington. That place was awesome. Uh,
very just small place but very very
unique and very upscale.
There are some really nice stores in
there. It is
hurting, but this could maybe come back.
Worthington is like a really, really
nice place, like I said. So, hopefully
they will bring the shops
back. And I hope you guys enjoyed this
and I will see you on the next
