Making a Pair of Stoneware Gaiwans - Pottery Studio ASMR

In this video you can see the throwing, trimming, glazing, and firing of a pair of stoneware gaiwans.

These are my take on one of the most classic ceramic forms, and while these diverge pretty significantly from the standard shape, I do quite like how they came out.

These consist of three components; the main body, the lid, and the base. All are thrown from a new clay; a speckled stoneware I've been experimenting with. After the glaze firing, each component is wet sanded to ensure the non-glazed sections are smooth.

Compared to forms I make more regularly, these take quite a long time to finish, since the components needs to fit together perfectly.
