5 AM ride with a homeschooled farmer, homeschooling is
More freedom and I am very grateful for that. So today, I'm gonna take you along with me. And give you the experience of passing the kids on the bus that go to public school, but instead of being on that bus, we are on horseback. We are riding my mare pippin and we are going to be riding through fields and through our town. Today is a beautiful fall morning and we are so grateful to wake up to this.

While most kids are simply waking up in the morning to just catch the bus,
today I'm going to share with you why my mornings look a lot different.
Now as a homeschooled teenager who is also a farmer, I am here to tell y'all that I am truly
grateful and I really want to acknowledge the fact that the lifestyle I live is absolutely worth it.
So that is why today I'm taking y'all along with me as I wake up early, saddle my horse,
and watch the sun come up to give you the full experience.
Good morning. It is currently 5 43. Let's head out to the pasture and let's go saddle up.
They're a bit dirty.
Good morning. It's now 6 30 I believe. Yeah. The sun is coming up. There's a beautiful sunrise.
Wow. Look at that. Very pretty. Hello boys. We got Aspen and Rocky with me.
And then stubborn Mr. Roscoe is on the porch over there. Look at the fog you guys. Look at that.
It's all in the fields every morning. Like a big cloud. It's so pretty. Looks like the horses are
up. Pippin's over there. And oh, what is this? Well, if you happen to notice this beautiful
fence behind me, um, surprise, we built a new fence around the barn and that's a little sneak
peek for the video coming up. So I don't want to share any more details, but yeah, they're pretty.
I've got all the dogs out here with me. Oh my goodness.
Okay. Welcome to the tack room. I'm going to grab Pippin's altar and we're going to go catch her.
Let's get saddling. I do make sure to brush her really where the tack is mowing because
that's very important. It's almost shedding season though. There's a lot of hair coming off
and somebody's behind the camera. Do you want to scratch?
Maybe not. What's wrong? He likes his back scratched. And, uh, we get to catch the school
bus along the way, as you guys can see. I wonder what they think when we're riding by. Anyway.
I hit the wood. All right. I'm not going to tighten it all the way just yet. He is just
standing here watching me the whole time. Just mesmerized, um, about what I'm doing to this horse.
Good to go. All right. I'm going to put her bride along and let's head down to the ramp.
You can't be tired yet. She's not tired. It is now already 7 12 and, um, we're kind of late.
Normally I'm out here like six, but it's just because I'm filming today. So we're going to head
down the road. We're going to go see a couple donkeys we normally see
and maybe we can catch the school bus. So let's go.
Walking into the fog. I can barely see, but the sun is coming up.
We are on the road. We've got Aspen over there. Normally we walk all the way down a road. Um,
and we go visit these horses we see and this little donkey, but since it's already like
seven, almost 20, we're going to just go over here where the beef cows are.
And we're going to see if the school bus comes by. Just do our morning wave.
There's more beef cows. Good morning. Look at that little one. Good morning guys.
Hi. They're eating their silage and of course Pippin always wants it.
Hi. They're always so curious of what I'm doing in the morning out here on a horse.
I hear the school bus coming up, you guys.
I'm very grateful we get to do this and we don't have to go to a public school
because between you and me, I never liked school. And the truth is we actually used
to ride that bus to school here, um, before we got homeschooled. Homeschooling is definitely
the way to go if you're able to do it. Homeschooling is definitely the way to go.
So I'm always wondering what those kids on that bus are thinking when they drive by me every
morning. The smell of silage in the morning is just, oh, it's amazing. You guys, that's some
good stuff. This has kind of become, this has kind of become like a new thing for us, just
waking up early and working. Because also it's getting cooler out, um, and it's just nice,
you know. I think it's fun catching the school bus and letting all the kids see Pippin in the
morning. And I pass by so many other farmers around here and they're always saying good morning.
So I don't know, it's just been really nice.
But some good old long trotting. Oh, oh, Pippin, Pippin, slow down. Slow it down, girl.
Oh, easy, careful, careful. Okay, where are we? I came through that fence up there
and now we are in our neighbor's field, which she does let us ride in. There's like 100 acres up
here. And right next to us is our farm. This is just a step closer to home, but we're going to
walk all the way up here and we're gonna go through the gate so we can go through our back
gate up there. Our neighbor attached a fence to our gate over there and so now we can get in and
out whenever we want. So that's where we're gonna go. Oh, where are we going? I feel like we're on
an adventure. And look it, there is a new one. I knew it. There were two new ones. Oh, hello.
All right, guys. Oh, that's one cute baby you got there. Look, we got Mr. Curious.
Mrs. That's a heifer. And that's a little bull calf. Yep. Now we're in the beef field
with all the beef cows. You girls are very pretty this morning.
Oh, yeah. There should be a spirit riding free song playing right now. So there's a bull,
actually. He looks like an angus. On the other side of the fence, that's not our neighbor's
property, but he wants the ladies over here. I mean, he is eager, but he can't come over. So
he's over there mooing. Look, he's right there. I know, buddy. I know.
Hello. All right, heading back home. All right, we are through the gate.
Now we just got to head all the way across the field to our fence at our barn. Look at him.
Shorty, calm it down, son. Oh, oh, oh. Calm down, buddy. It's okay. You're good.
Oh, boy, here comes. All right, you two.
Sweaty girl. You sweaty, girl? Yeah. After rides, I normally do some stretches and I need to hose
her down to just cool off her legs a bit. So that's what I'm going to do. All right,
I got to grab the hose. Whenever you're rinsing down a horse, make sure you guys
bus with me. If you guys enjoyed this video, which I know I did, please like, comment and subscribe
and we will see you guys in the next one. Yeah, we will. Bye.
