AI GeneratedA young woman shares her daily life during the first few days of summer on her family farm. The video captures her routine of caring for a wide variety of animals, harvesting fresh produce, and dreaming about her future on the land.
It feels like summer is finally here on the farm, and I couldn't be more excited.
Everything is green and there's baby animals running around everywhere.
So join me today as I soak up the first few days of summer here.
Alright, up we go.
It is an absolutely gorgeous Saturday morning here on the farm.
Today I need to make one of my favorite things, and that is French onion dip.
It's one of my favorite things to have in the summer, but my mom always makes it and
I have no idea how to make it, and my mom isn't here.
So I'm gonna try and figure out the recipe on my own, and hopefully it turns out just
as good as hers.
Also, my mom just made some chocolate sourdough bread this morning, which is so good.
I'm so excited to have this.
Like, look at that.
That's just beautiful.
So I guess let's get to cooking.
It's already making me cry.
Oh no.
This is gonna be really bad.
Done.
Alright, we need to go out and find some green onions now.
We have some old garden beds that we don't even use anymore, and stuff comes up in them
every year that we planted a long time ago, and I think that there's green onions out
there.
It's a jungle back here, but here's what we're looking for.
I wonder if that's one of our honeybees.
The flowers on them are so pretty, but unfortunately I have to cut them off.
Why does this feel like a crime?
Tucker, you helping?
Yes, of course.
No.
Okay, I think these are almost done.
They cooked down a lot.
And now we need the rest of the ingredients.
This is so good.
Hi.
Come here.
Hi, Milo.
Hey, Iris.
Good job.
Oh, here comes everyone else.
Good evening, goats.
Oh, oh, oh.
Oh my goodness.
Don't eat my hair.
Okay.
Where is Juniper?
And Buttercup.
Oh, there they are.
Hi, puppy.
Oh my goodness, as cute as ever.
Excuse me, mister.
Hi.
You too?
Really?
That hurts a little bit.
Now you're eating my hair.
Ow.
Don't have to worry about this one being shy.
Okay, that's enough.
Get down.
Alright, time to feed these crazies
and the horses and the cats
and everybody.
Wow.
You guys will get fed in a minute.
You don't have to eat the horse food.
No, seriously?
This is expensive stuff.
No.
Here, kitties.
You get your dinner first.
Hi, Fig. You're so cute.
Oh.
Hi, Isaac.
That is a huge egg.
Yeah, they've been laying some pretty big ones.
Is that a chicken egg?
No. No way.
Every day there will be an egg that size.
How did that come out of a chicken?
We were just getting some really tiny ones, though.
This is huge.
Like, next to a normal egg?
That's insane.
I gotta go get chicken food.
Okay, have fun.
I will.
Are you guys gonna have fun?
I'll take that as a yes. See you later.
You guys hungry?
They're all yelling at me.
If you show me where your kittens are, then maybe I'll feed you.
I'm just kidding.
Here, kitties.
So, Hermione has kittens,
but I know that this cat here has some, too.
So, we got two litters this spring.
Did you guys follow me over here?
You're so impatient.
The vines are growing on the barn,
and it just looks so pretty.
The birds like to nest in there.
There's also a ton in the gutters of this barn.
I'm sure there's at least 20 babies up there.
Gotta get the water for Selena's food.
Just bite that.
Water. Scoop.
Okay, answer to your first question.
I turned it on with my teeth
because I don't have any more hands right now.
Sorry, I forgot that you lost your third one.
And then, this is to soak Selena's food.
Oh, the horses are up.
I didn't even call them, and I couldn't see them before.
Oh, they must have heard me call the cats.
Hi, Maggie.
Hello.
Since I started giving Selena
that supplement, it has helped her
so much. So, she's finally
gaining some good weight,
which means I actually might be able to start riding her soon.
That's exciting. I want to be able to actually
ride a horse again.
The goats look so happy.
Oh, except for the ones fighting right now.
What are you doing, Iris?
Don't chew on me. You're so naughty.
You're so cute.
Okay, it is pretty late, and I'm about to go to bed.
But, look at this. I have my window open
so I can hear all the birds.
It's sunset right now.
It's not picking it up very well, but it's bright orange.
And I can hear the birds and the crickets.
So peaceful.
It is insanely beautiful today.
And the birds are singing so loud.
It's a Sunday afternoon, so I'm planning
out my week right now. Just everything that I
need to get done. And the rest of my family
is out at the garden right now, picking
the first strawberries of the season.
Huge bumblebee.
I've been seeing so many of those lately.
Hi, Ember. Hi, sweet girl.
She's been following me around for a while.
See how much strawberries you got?
You got water for Tucker?
Yeah. Yeah, I think he needs it.
Tucker!
Oh my goodness.
Tucker! Tucker, come here.
There's grass in my hair.
When you're the boss again,
we'll call you mom.
You don't call me mom, because I'm your sister.
When I have kids, I'll be their mom.
Do you think you'll be a dad?
I want to be a dad. Oh, you should.
I'll probably marry you.
Aw.
Well, you can't marry your sister.
You have to marry someone else.
You'll find someone.
I love you too much.
Well, you'll always be my sister.
Sister?
I'll always be your sister.
Tucker's water!
Tucker, you have a burr on your belly.
Today's harvest.
In about a week, we'll be getting, like,
gallon containers of these.
This is
my old lady horse, Selena.
I just did some lunging with her, and
I'm gonna get her some fly spray, because the flies
are pretty bad today. And then probably just let her
go back out. Such a good girl.
Okay, I'm making dinner for the
horses now. And after
this, I actually need to do my
brother's chores, because
he is out of town for the entire
summer. My other younger brother
will be doing them a lot,
but he's not here today either, so
I will be doing his chores.
So hopefully everything goes smoothly.
And then I
also might want to go
see if I can find some kittens in the attic,
just because I'm so anxious to see them.
I don't really know where they are, but
the attic is a good starting place
to look. You guys! The cats are in the food again.
Maggie!
My goodness, all the chickens.
I know that the dogs get water.
Oh wait, but it's
already full. So they don't need
that. And then they get their food.
Oh my goodness! You can stop
yelling, Mr. Rooster.
I need another
scoop.
But I don't see one.
Why are the goats eating out of it?
Gotta go get more dog food. They each get half a scoop.
Oh, hi. You're in my way. Sorry.
Thank you.
I'm sorry, Jasmine.
I know. Hi, Mo.
You're so cute.
Hi, Maui. Hi.
Hi, Moana. Hi, Jasmine.
They all love to say hi to me.
Hi. Hi.
I know we've had kittens up here before.
This isn't the loft I was talking about.
Oh my goodness.
Sometimes they'll have them in here.
But because it's the dog's dwelling
place right now, I wouldn't think
they do. Okay, so this barn is
insanely beautiful, and I so badly
want to renovate it and live here
once I turn 18. Like, it would be
so awesome just to turn this into
a living space, have a big
loft. Like, literally my dream.
Live right by all the animals.
It's crazy to believe that I'll be 18
in a little bit over a year.
I'll be turning 17 at the end of the summer
in September. But yeah,
just dreaming about this barn. I literally
love it so much. Are they trying
to eat your food? That's so mean of them.
I know.
Yeah, you tell them. You say,
get out of my food. Oh yeah. It is insanely
hot out right now. It's like about 85
degrees, maybe more. So it's gonna be
pretty hot in that barn attic.
Mo, do you want out? We had a deer
recently eat our garden.
So when she wants to come out, we let her out.
Because we could use some protection elsewhere
on the farm. I know, I'm sorry.
But we trust Moana
to not run away and get into stuff.
I'm sorry.
Oh yeah, I have to collect eggs.
Go on a little hunt
now that they're free range.
Hello, ladies.
Oh, Hermione, you
decided to join us. Would you like to tell me where
your babies are? You guys are just chilling. It's
so cute. Can I trust you to not eat these
if I set them down?
I'm trusting
you. They won't eat them unless they
knock the whole thing over. Which they better
not do. Okay, I'm gonna put
my hair up because I am sweaty
and there's also a lot of cobwebs
up in the attic.
Oh, be nice! We don't just hit our
siblings for no reason. This guy
just hit this one. Oh, I'm
sorry. Are you mad now?
Did he make you mad? Do you look
mad? That was mean, huh?
Don't do that. Alright,
up we go. Here
it is. They could be literally
anywhere. That is a huge cobweb
already. There might be something back there.
Looks like this is a path that's been taken
a lot.
Last year, they were back here.
I don't see any. There are not
many places I can get back here.
Okay, so no success
with the kittens, which stinks.
But they'll show up eventually. Well, I
got very sweaty up there. I gotta
take the eggs and put them away now.
Just wait till you see how many eggs we
have in our fridge right now. It's just insane.
Ta-da!
We have scoops and baskets
and a bunch of cartons
of them. We sell them to
friends and family, but really we just have
them for ourselves. We also keep all of
our raw milk in here that we buy
from a neighbor. Well,
I just bought this bracelet earlier
today and it already fell into a pile
of poop and broke. This is why we
can't have nice things. Well, I hope you
enjoyed following me along for these past couple
of days for the first days of
summer here on the farm. Definitely subscribe
if you haven't already because there are
lots of fun videos coming up.
God bless you and I will see you in
the next one.
