Dwayne Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho Talk _Moana 2_ at D23_ The Ultimate Disney Fan Event

I'd love for you to say it with us here tonight. Are you ready? Are you ready? Let me hear you cheer! It's an amazing night, but that's not going to happen. This is the largest crowd D23 has ever had in the history of Disney. We're going to do it one more time. Let me hear you cheer! Let's give it up for the amazing Tiana Nonassina! Well, when we meet Moana again, she has become the leader of the land and sea. But, more excitingly, she's now a big sister. Her three-year-old sister, Savannah, is for the whole world. When she's not a big sister, filling her duty to her people, Moana spends her time searching nearby islands for evidence that there just might be more people beyond the waters she sails. Ooh, I love it! Now, like you guys know, Maui, the water-based egg, will be involved in Te Kaha. What can you reveal about Maui's journey in Moana 2? Maui's singing again! Singing in keys that don't exist. But my hair looks fantastic in Moana 2, I can't help it. Almost as beautiful as Ali's. It's a beautiful movie, and Moana's the most exciting journey yet. And it's a perfect escape for this November. And I gotta say, just personally, I know what it means for me just being a man of Caucasian culture, of half black and half Samoan. And I know what it means for Ali too, and I just want to take a moment because I believe, thank you, what Ali can take from you, with our anchoring character, this idea of a young girl who is empowered, but also this young girl who feels like there's more to life than what's just in front of her. It's beyond the reach. And how important that is, how important it was for the first Moana, how really important it is for Moana 2, and this idea whether you're a little girl or a little boy, whether you're a homegrown kid like me or not, all of us are just in this idea of believing that there is more. And having the guts to go for more, and I want to say, to be able to go for more, I have my 8-year-old and my 6-year-old daughter right here with me right now. That is where we are. And you know what, they represent little girls, little boys, and people just all around the world, who are really who I am. So, thank you guys so much for coming out tonight. And 10,000 fans?
