Turning Trash Into a Ventilation System for the Underground Station
Turning trash into giant ventilation fans for an underground passenger station. This upcycling project takes discarded plastic packaging and transforms it into dystopian architecture for my N scale Union Harbor Express layout.
What started as a throwaway piece of packaging became a set of massive vents that bring the underground station to life. In this build I carve out arches, texture the concrete, add platforms and railings, and finally install the fans.
This project is part of my ongoing N scale dystopian layout, Union Harbor Express. Every detail pushes the station closer to a cinematic late-autumn world of concrete, steel, and decay.
