Can Baking Soda ACTUALLY Whiten Your Teeth?

Baking soda can help reduce stains from forming, however it can’t make your teeth shades whiter. Only whitening products formulated with peroxide can do that. Also, brushing with baking soda from the container is not recommended because it does not prevent cavities that are caused by demineralization! So if you really like the idea of brushing with baking soda, it’s highly recommended to use a whitening toothpaste that contains both baking soda AND ALSO an anti-cavity ingredient (such as fluoride or hydroxyapatite) to help remineralize your enamel!
